"Nick Jonas you are so dead. What the heck was that cryptic note about? You can't just leave me a note saying 'I'm stealing Ari for the day have fun with Kevin' and disappear for hours" Dani punched him in the arm, and it definitely wasn't a friendly punch. Let's just say Dani does kick boxing weekly, and she's got the guns to prove it.

"Dani I can explain-" Nick seemed really panicked. I couldn't blame the guy, Dani was a little scary when she got all protective and went into mom mode.

"Wait a minute. You two are holding hands! Yes! You kissed her didn't you? Nice job Nicky! Awww my two favorite people" Dani went from psycho angry to all lovey dovey in about two seconds.

"Wait a minute who are your two favorite people and why am I not one of them?" Kevin walked up behind Dani in the lobby with Alena perched on his hip.

"Don't worry babe, you definitely make top 10. I won the bet by the way" Dani grinned and pinched his cheek.

"Top 10!?!? I should be number 1! Wait what bet?" Kevin seemed confused.

"You said it would take a month for these two to finally get together, but your genius wife said they would be together by the end of Italy and by the looks of it I was right, so pay up" Dani wiggled her eyebrows at the two of us.

"Well then I'm bummed I lost, but I'm happy for you two lovebirds" Kevin grinned.

I snuck a glance at Nick and was thankful to see he looked just as embarrassed as I did.

"Alright Kevin let's stop embarrassing them, we have to go get ready for dinner anyway so we can finish teasing them later. We're going to this cute little Italian place Joe found that has live music and dancing" Dani babbled on and on as she pulled me away from Nick and dragged me upstairs.

Dani practically shoved me into the shower, and when I got out fifteen minutes later she already had an outfit all set out for me.

"I brought this for you, red is definitely your color and it'll go really well with those black heels of yours. It's perfect for tonight" Dani said without looking up from her magazine.

"Perfect thanks! Now I don't have to figure out what to wear" I smiled. The red dress was gorgeous. It had a really high neckline in the front, but a completely open back. It was flirty yet sophisticated, which was perfect for an evening in Italy.

"Anytime love. I am going to go finish getting ready and gather the troops. We will meet you in the lobby in half an hour" Dani set her magazine down and was out the door before I could respond. That's Dani for you.

I curled my hair and pulled it up into a sleek ponytail so it wouldn't cover the back of the dress. A few curled pieces fell down in the front and framed my face. I threw on some dangly silver earrings and my black heels and headed out.

As I walked down the stairs and into the lobby I couldn't help but grin when I saw Nick completely zone out of his conversation with Joe when he saw me.

"Well it looks like I have the prettiest date in the room tonight, lucky lucky me" Joe teased as he threw his arm around my shoulder.

"Joe I'm sure Ari doesn't appreciate your monkey hands all over her" Nick shoved his brother playfully.

"Hey man you have a right to be hellish you still get jealous" Joe sang before he ran off with Nick chasing after him.

After the boys disappeared we all headed out the door to walk down the street to the restaurant. Right before I turned the corner I felt Nick's hand intertwine with mine.

"Sorry about that, I had to deal with the four year old that is Joe, but he was right, you look gorgeous" Nick smiled down at me. Cue the butterflies.

"Thank you. You're looking very spiffy yourself" I pulled on his tie.

We went into a cute little restaurant with every Italian food I had ever imagined and more.

After a huge dinner full of dishes I couldn't pronounce I was so stuffed I was positive I would never be able to move again. Of course before I could rest at all Nick had me on my feet dancing to the live music.

"So how're you liking Italy so far and being a typical tourist?" I asked Nick as we swayed back and forth.

"The city is great, the normalcy is great, but I have to say the company is my favorite part. See there's this girl that I can't seem to get out of my head, and I wouldn't want to experience such a romantic country with anyone else" Nick's words made my knees weak as I stared into his eyes.

I couldn't string together words to convey how perfect this moment was so I kissed him instead and hoped that conveyed how I felt.

"Given all the awws and stares we are getting from your family, what're we going to tell them about us?" I asked nervously. This was always a strange conversation.

"You mean what are we?" Nick clarified.

"Exactly"

"Sweetheart we can be whatever you want us to be. All I know is ever since I met you that night when you attacked me, I've wanted to get to know this fiery, unique girl, and I just want to know more about you and spend more time with you" Nick twirled me around before bringing me back into his arms.

"I'd like that. Why don't we take it slow for now and just let it all play out? Sound like a plan?" I asked.

"Si senorita" Nick's smile made those adorable crinkles by his eyes.

"Wrong language weirdo" I teased.

We danced for who knows how long to a bunch of songs in a language we didn't understand, but I couldn't remember the last time I had been so content.
