Y/n POV:

When we make it home, I take the twins to the garden and play with them until Emma gets back. In reality I'm hiding from Miss Peregrine so I don't have to tell her where Emma, Olive, and Millard are... Or why I let them go alone.

I played with them for a good 20 minutes before I figured it was time to see if they were back yet. I walked into the house and as I was approaching the hallway, I ran into Enoch,

"Hey watch where you're going!" He said, sounding annoyed.

I've been dealing with Enoch's attitude long enough to know exactly how to fix it and exactly how to make it worse.

"What's you're problem today, Enoch. You're acting weird."

"Do you really wanna know or are just gonna go running to your new best friend, Jake?" He scolded as he turned around and began walking away.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I say, following him.

As we walk closer to the kitchen I can hear the tea kettle ringing and Miss Peregrine talking. That means that Olive has returned.

"It doesn't matter anyway. Don't you have things to do?"he said while peeping into the kitchen.

I follow his quick gaze to see that he was looking at Olive and Jake. I scoff,

"Oh I get it, your jealous that your little girlfriend has found another boy to fawn over! Have your little pity party but don't expect me to clean up your mess this time!" I could feel the thunder clouds forming as I speak.

I don't even bother to hear his response as I furiously walk away. As I pass through the kitchen I am stopped by Miss Peregrine,

"Y/n calm down, you're thundering!" She says.

"I'm doing my best! Your lucky it's not a hurricane!" I say rushing to the garden.

Whenever I get too upset, I go out to the garden for two reasons. 1.) It waters the plants. 2.) The garden reminds me of my home outside of the loop. I used to spend a lot of time there.

Soon after I've calmed down and my cloud went away, I hear voices approaching the garden. It was Miss Peregrine, Jake, and Fiona. I check my watch and realized that it was time for Fiona to get the carrots for supper. I'd hate to be in the way so I decide to go inside and find Olive. I know she'll be free to talk right about now.

I go up stairs and check her room only to find it empty. There's only one other place I know for sure that she'll be... Enoch's room. I roll my eyes at the thought of him. We're best friends and even I'VE never seem him act this way.

Going against every instinct in my body, I decided to go into his room. Enoch and Olive were staring out the window...well Enoch was. Olive was staring at him.

"Hey, Olive. Do you have time to talk?" I ask, startling them both.

"Sure, Y/n. What is it?" She says, standing in the same spot.

"Can we talk...alone?" I say, glaring at Enoch.

He scoffs, "What ever you have to say, you can say it right here. That is unless you wanna go gossip about your new best friend."

The nerve of this boy, I swear.

"Fine! Olive, do you think Enoch is being rude and taking things WAY out of proportion?" Though I was speaking to Olive, I was directing it to Enoch.

"Well actu-" Olive begins but gets cut off by Enoch.

"OLIVE, don't you think Y/n is being annoying!" He says, directing it to me.
