Dinner

Y/N POV :

I heard Mami and Luna running to welcome me. I wonder why. I smile and look at them, pretending not to know.

- ¡Hola mi querida! You had a good day?

- Yes, thanks for asking but I'm gonna go and change real quick. As you can see I am soaking wet.

- Yes, how did that happen by the way? asked Luna

- I fell in the fountain

- You fell, huh?

I didn't let them finish and runned to the bathroom. I took a bath and put my pajamas on. As soon as I finished I went to my room, good try but Mami and Luna were waiting for me here.

- Mi querida! I'm surprised to see you here!

- Mami, it's my room.

- Really? Waw-

- Cut it. What do you want to know?

- We saw you with Camilo.

- And?

- He kissed your hand!

Luna was excited, it surprised me a bit at first but then I remembered how much she likes to read.

- Yes because he noticed that you two were watching us

- Bullshit! You spent the day with him?

- Yeah I helped him to keep the kids

- And?

- And we talked like the good friends we are.

- Yeah, a friend that spends his time flirting with you. Seriously mi querida, I know you never experienced love before but being that blind shouldn't be allowed.

- It's nothing like that

- Really? Tell us what you think about him then! answered Luna

I sat on my bed with them.

- Well, he's kind

- What else?

- Funny and always here when we need him. I enjoy spending time with him because he has this little something that-

- Little something? That's called love, mi querida!

- What? No. It's like that little thing that always manages to hype you up, you know?

- Whatever you say...

Mami smiled while Luna just seemed exasperated. It's funny to see how different they are.

- I almost forgot but we invited the Madrigal for dinner so yeah get ready I guess!

Mami kissed my cheek and went out of my room with Luna. I guess I won't paint today.

I changed my clothes and did my hair and makeup. I hope Pepa won't kill Papi tonight. Talking about the wolf, I went to the kitchen and helped him to cook dinner while Ryu, Luna and Mami set the table.

After a few hours we finally welcomed the Madrigal. I smiled when I saw Mirabel and we hugged. It's been a little while since I last saw her.

We all sat at the dinner table, obviously Mami placed me between Mirabel and Camilo. We joked around and talked about our lives, I noticed Luna and Dolores talking to each other, they seem to get along well. I'm happy for her. Papi was still staring at us from time to time but it wasn't his angry look so I guess it's fine. At least he tries.

- Hey hermosa!

- What?

- I think your Papi finally understand how perfect I am

- Or he understood that you were too dumb to date Y/N.

I laughed and they started arguing again. It really became usual, none of them is serious, they just enjoy insulting each other.

Once we were done eating we cleared the table. I was doing the dishes with Papi and Camilo walked in. Why do I feel like he's gonna do something dumb.

- Mi hermosa?

- Yes?

He kissed my cheek while looking at Papi.

- I lied earlier, I did tell the kid that you're pretty

- Hey Camilo, I think your father is calling you. Can you leave me with my daughter please.

- Yes sir.

He smiled proud of himself and went to the living room.

- Y/N

- Papi

- I swear he's gonna give me a heart attack.

- You know that he's doing it to test your limits, right?

- He's not like that when you two are alone?

- No, we talk a lot but there's no kissing or hugging when we're alone. He just wants to see how you will react. Sometimes he does it in front of Luna and Mami too because he knows they're gonna ask me about him for hours after that.

- I see... So if I have no reaction he'll stop?

I finished the dishes.

- Yep!

Papi took a napkin and cleaned my cheeks before kissing it himself.

- Papi!

- What? You're MY daughter. Let's get back to the living room, okay?

I rolled my eyes and joined everyone, I sat next to Mami. Camilo was looking at me, probably wondering what my Papi told me.

- I'm not grounded, Camilo

- Oooh we improved! Wanna go on a date then?

- NO! yelled Papi and Alma together

Everyone looked at them, surprised. Papi's reaction was predictable but Alma? I wasn't expecting that.

- Are you okay, Mama? asked Pepa

- Yes. Sorry.

I looked around me and everyone seemed confused. It took a while but the conversations started flowing again, we all acted like nothing happened.

Mirabel and I started playing with Ryuji and Antonio. Camilo was with Inaya, even though he likes kids, he prefers babies. Dolores and Luna went to her room, probably because it's less noisy there. Isabela and Luisa are just talking together, I can't hear what they're saying though. My parents are talking about the "good old days" with their friend.

I smile a little, I know it has already been a few weeks since we moved here but for the first time I really feel like I'm home.

Ryuji grabbed my arm and whispered me something

- Camilo is looking at you! I don't know why tho but he's smiling, maybe you have something on your face!

- Really?

I look at Camilo and he suddenly looks away, he's blushing. A smirk appears on my face, who's staring now, idiot?

I turn back to Ryuji and tell him it's nothing, we continue playing until Alma gets up and says that it's time to leave.

I accompany them to the door and kiss Camilo's cheek.

- Who's flirting now? he says

- And who stared the whole night?

He blushed a little

- I don't know what you're talking about. Good night hermosa.

They finally left and I closed the door. When I turned around my family was staring at me, their faces weren't showing the same emotions. Uh oh.
