Y/n POV:

Our car rumbled along the road. I wouldn't even say it was a road. It was more like a path.

Our car was bumping up and down, hitting rocks. The road started to get less bumpy and, according to Mami, that means we were getting close.

Close to where? Encanto. I'd never heard of Encanto

I was with my sisters in the back. Mami and Papi were in the front. They were talking about a dude named Agustin.

So, he's the one that had made Mami and Papi move around the world. They were looking for him.

My Mami was more focused on his wife, Julieta. They were all best friends when they were younger, Mami explained, and they were looking for them as they moved and had no more contact with them.

My Mami, Emma, also told me that Papi was determined to find Agustin, to make sure he was alive. Papi said that if they were there, there was no more moving.

No more moving somewhere different every second week. We could just stay in one place, no .ore traveling.

Don't get me wrong, I've loved traveling and seeing as much as I could. But, moving can get very exhausting when you move every second week.

Me and my sister, Luna, were currently playing a game of eye spy. She was a year younger than me, she was 14, and she still liked playing this stuff.

I was bored out of my mind. I eventually stopped playing with Luna, and I zoned out.

Then my other little sister, Inaya, started crying. She is only one years old. I sighed, knowing I would have to make her stop crying.

I was the oldest sibling, so it was my responsibility. Inaya's crying woke my little brother Ryuji, the only boy apart from my dad, Lysander.

He was 5 years old, and he fell back asleep quickly. I looked at Inaya and tried to coo her to sleep with promises that there would be no more moving soon.

She could barely talk, and she would just say random words. I started playing a game with her and her crying turned to laughter.

After a couple of hours of playing, drinking and eating, Inaya fell asleep.

I sighed, and looked at my other siblings, to see them also asleep. Only me, Mami and Papi were awake

"Y/n," Mami said. "I know it must be exhausting, moving every second week, looking after your siblings. But I want you to know, we're proud of you." She finished.

I sighed. All I've ever wanted to do was make my Mami and Papi proud, but them being proud of me didn't change the fact that we moved every second week, I had the responsibility to look after my siblings while my parents went out looking, and teach them school education.

I nodded at my Mami, and looked out the window. There was nothing in sight yet, but Mami said we were close.

After a couple of more hours, I finally got Papi to stop for a bathroom break.

I took my brother, Ryuji, to the bathroom, and waited for him to finish. I walked him back to the car, then went to the bathroom myself.

After I came out of the bathroom, Papi was hurrying me into the car. He wanted to get there before night.

In the bathroom, I had also changed clothes and redid my hair to look as best as possible, seeing as we were almost there.

Mami told me that the Madrigal's, the surname of Julieta and Agustin and their family, all had kids.

But before we get to them, there was Alma Madrigal. She was the Mami of Pepa and Julieta, and the Abuela of Dolores, Isabela, Luisa, Camilo, Mirabel and Antonio Madrigal.

There was Pepa and Felix, Pepa had the ability to control the weather with her emotions, crazy, right?

I wouldn't have believed it at first, if it weren't for the fact that Mami and Papi don't joke around much.

Pepa and Felix had 3 children, the oldest was named Dolores, 22, and she could hear everything. Like, everything. Even a pin drop.

The middle child was Camilo, 15 years old, shapeshifter, which I thought was really cool. He always wore his trademark yellow ruana.

Their youngest child, the same age as Ryuji, was named Antonio and could talk to animals.

There was Bruno, Pepa and Julieta's brother. He had the ability to see the future, and he disappeared one day when he saw a prophecy, and came back 10 years later.

Then there was Julieta herself. Julieta was married to Agustin, and they also had three kids.

But, I would like to add in, Julieta, Pepa and Bruno are all triplets. Ok, I had to add that. Also, they're all 50, and my Mami and Papi are both 49.

Anyways, there was Isabela, 21, child of Julieta and Agustin, the oldest, and she could grow flowers and plants to her will. They could be as high as she wanted, as short, as colourful.

Then there was the middle child of Julieta, Luisa. She was 19, and she has the gift of superstrength, and she was super strong. Obviously.

Then there was Mirabel, the last child of Julieta and Agustin, 15. Her gift was healing mental illnesses by putting her hand on the said person's forehead.

She'll feel bad for about ten minutes after healing someone, but then she'll be fine again.

Keep in mind that Agustin and Felix married into the family, and took the last name Madrigal.

Phew. Okay, done. How did my parents know all of this if they haven't had contact with the Madrigal's for 20 years? I honestly don't know.

They were stalkers. That's what I've come up with, at least. Then Papi snapped me out of my daydreaming by telling me we were here. Thank gosh. I was tired.

The road became smoother, and soon we were rolling along fine, no more bumps.

We drove for a few more minutes, and stopped outside of a house. How do my parents get money to move every second week and get houses? I don't know.

I undid Ryuji's booster seat buckle, and he jumped out. I then undid Inaya's baby seat buckle, and helped her out.

Luna got out on her own. We all looked at the house, and Mami and Papi went inside first. I put Inaya down, she could walk, but I held her hand just in case.

Mami and Papi said we would go looking tomorrow, me, Mami and Papi. Luna wanted to stay home, so she would be watching Ryuji and Inaya.

We all went inside, and our stuff was already here. The only thing we had to do was unpack it.

We all had our own rooms, apart from Inaya, who shared a room with Mami and Papi.

I sighed, and got to work. I picked my room, which was the biggest one. It had a really nice window seat as well.

The window was wide and you could see everything from up here. For clarification, our house was two stories.

Mine and Luna's rooms were on the second floor, and Mami, Papi's, Inaya's and Ryuji's were on the first floor.

I started to unpack all my stuff, placing it where I wanted it. There was not much point, as we might be leaving next week, but still. I wanted it to look good.
