11:31 AM PST

"Keys keys keys," I was turning the living room upside down, searching for them. Peaches was also helping but in her own way. "Hey, babe, have you seen my keys?" I waited till she responded from upstairs, "Did you check in the key pot? Y'know, the only place we put our keys?" I facepalmed and went to check, and sure enough, it was there. I jogged upstairs to the bedroom. She was with her camera,

"You filming this week's vlog?" I asked, "Yeah," she replied, "Just some b-roll material," she turned the camera to me, and I smiled. "I'm going to the guys," she chuckled, "They're "The guys" now? What are you "guys" gonna do next? Start a band?"

I scoffed, "That doesn't sound like a bad idea, but what's wrong? They're cool people once you know them," "I'm sure they are," she came and hugged me. I chuckled nervously, "Are you sure that nothing is wrong? I can stay here if you want me to," She broke the hug and took a heavy breath. "No, it's nothing. Just take care of yourself. You got your on?" I lifted my shirt and showed her. "Check for everything in case you forget cause you do and call me when you get there, ok?" I went and gave her a peck, "Yes, mom," She smirked, "Few syllables off, but I'll take it,"

I smiled and went downstairs, and as I was about to leave, I got tackled into another hug and a longer kiss, "I love you," she said. My heart sunk, "She's really that worried." I smiled, "Love you too, now please, can I go?" Of course,"

I got into the car, not a tesla, but it did its job and, after one last wave to Claudia, made my way to the hotel. I tried not to give myself any room for thought, so throughout the ride, I was blasting a playlist that Y/N made for car rides, and it kept me company. It took me 30 minutes to get to Beverly Hills, and another 10 to find the exact place. It was all automatic after that. My feet moved on their own. Car, parked. People, waved at. Fans, smiled at. The receptionist, nodded . I only fully became aware of where I was when the cold wind hit at the top of the roof hit me.

Nate noticed me and waved; I waved back. I took a deep breath, collected myself, then went to him at the far side of the pool. "Hey, here, have a drink and dip your feet. They're going to finish in a bit," I did as he said and looked at the other two, puzzled, "Why are they underwater again?" I asked, ""Who can hold their breath the longest," challenge. 2 Grand," "And for how long were they in there?" He looked at his stopwatch, "About a minute and a half now. Actually, they're lasting longer than I expected. My money is on Josh," I nodded, "Where's Y/N?" He paused before replying, "Oh, at an apartment. He never stays with us at hotels. Never was his thing."

I left the conversation on that note and opted out to look at the submerged two. By 1:54, Julian had bailed out, but Josh went strong till 2:15 even though he didn't need to. Both had burning lungs, obviously, and it took them a while to notice that I was there. Josh, between his breaths, said, "Oh hey Fin...glad you could make it...did you get a haircut?... you looking good...." Julian wasn't fairing quite as well since he had already gotten out of the pool and looked like he was about to vomit.

"I'll take care of them here," Nate said, "Go to the infirmary and get some anti-nausea pills," I nodded and went downstairs and found the place after a couple of minutes of searching. I asked for some, as I was told, and they gave me two strips accompanied by some weird looks.

When I got back up to the roof, the three of them looked fine and dandy chatting at the table. "Seems like you took care of it, huh?" I said as I sat down. Julian smiled and patted Nate's back, "Believe it or not, Nate is actually the one who takes care of us. You can say that he's the mother of the group," "Fuck off, Julian, Did you get the pills?" "Yeah," I took out both strips and put them on the table, "The woman there was giving weird looks when I told her that my friends upstairs needed it," "Don't mind her,"
