{Flowers} The End

It was a few hours later. Army had managed to get up and Skull gave Avi a proper burial, now wearing his jacket.

The two met in the center, by the tree. A word had been scratched out, only leaving The Widow and The Mother.

"So," Skull started. "It's come down to this."

"It has." Army said. "I thought it was to be me verses Mask. Look how wrong I was..."

The archer looked down. "I don't want to keep you away from Aloha much longer, but... Army, you deserve to win. You killed Mask."

"And you killed Emperor." Army said. "You deserve the win as much as I do."

"...How do you suppose we settle this? I'm-I'm done with fighting." Skull said.

"Mutual suicide?" Army suggested, half jokingly. "I could also just kill you and we could get this over with."

Skull let out a pitiful chuckle. "I'd be more comfortable with the latter." He held out his arms. "Do it. Win this for your love."

Army drew his sword, Mask's blood still caked on it. "...Are you ready?"

The archer nodded. "As I'll ever be."

With that, Army pushed the sword into Skull's chest. The archer simply smiled. "Congratulations, Army. You win."

Army pulled his sword out of Skull's chest. Skull fell to the ground and Army's com buzzed. Shaking, he pulled it out.

>Skull was slain by Army.

Army collapsed onto his knees. He did it. He won. He-All that was left was to die himself. Not here, though.

He knew the way home well and followed it. When he reached the flowery cove, he noticed Aloha's body was covered in flowers, no longer vibrant. All were white. A color of mourning.

"It's only fitting..." Army said to himself. He took his blade, piercing it through his own heart. He fell back onto the flower bed, next to Aloha.

"I'll see you soon, Aloha..." Army smiled, bleeding out next to his lover.

He closed his eyes and a warm embrace surrounded him, his pain gone. It felt like blankets and Aloha's warmth.

He didn't expect the embrace to tighten around him, protectively.

And he didn't expect to open his eyes.
