"ShitshitshitshitsHIT-" Regent yelled. He ran through the forest. Normally, he'd be confident, tearing the army of them down one by one. But he couldn't risk it right now. For one, he was on yellow. And for another, his sword had snapped in half on a skeleton's bones.

He made a sharp turn, running into a... actually, a well-lit cave. The monsters seemed to run away from it.

Regent breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank Satan... Now where in the nine rings am I?"

He looked around. Many tunnels were visible, all of them lit. Someone lives here, though Regent didn't know who. Couldn't be him. His home was near a geode and there was none there.

"HELLO?" Regent called out, only to be greeted by his own echo. "ANYONE THERE?"

Still, nothing. Regent blessed under his breath, walking further into the cave. "This is too freaky..."

"Coming from you I suppose that's a compliment."

"wha-AH!" Regent screeched, jumping back against the wall. "WHAT THE FUCK-"

The owner of the voice-Rider- held his sword to Regent's throat. "What are you doing here?! Are you gonna try and kill Gogs?"

"W-what? I didn't even know you lived here! Honestly!" The demonic mage raised his hands up. "I was just hiding from mobs!"

"How do I know I can trust you?" Rider asked, eyes narrowed and voice sharp.

"Look. I might be a demonic spellcaster but I keep my promises. If you don't kill me now I'll keep you safe as long as I can." Regent said.

The cave was almost deathly silent, only the crackle of fire from torches and lanterns. Rider only sighed. "Extend that protection to Goggles and we have a deal." He released the death mage from the hold of his sword. "This doesn't mean we're allies, Castilo. Got that?"

"Yeah, yeah. I know. Just... let me stay with ya for a day, aite?"

"Fine." Rider turned towards one of the tunnels. "Follow me, mate." His bootsteps echoed off of the walls. Regent followed him, his own footsteps only making Rider's seem louder.

"...You teamed up with Goggles?" Regent asked. Rider only nodded. "I thought you and Army were close."

"He's got Aloha to protect him. He... He doesn't need me." Rider responded. "Goggles does."

"...Prince has got Emperor to protect xem." Regent said. "But... Xe might still need me. I'm just not teamed up with xem cause Emperor hates me."

"Your point?"

"Army- he might have Aloha, but he still needs his friend. And who says you can't protect two people? Go find him, ask for an alliance."

There was a tense silence, as the two kept walking through the cave. "...We're there." Rider said, finally. He flipped a lever, revealing a hidden entrance. "C'mon. Don't you dare wake Goggles."

"Fine, fine..." Regent walked in, footsteps suddenly quiet on the carpeted floor. "Thanks, Rider."

"Anytime, Mate."
