Chapter 19

-Time skip to your birthday-

Y/N's POV

"Y/N WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD!"

I woke up in a panic to my siblings shouting my name while barging into my room, banging their hands against any surface they could find to make as much noise as they could. I looked over at my clock to see it was 7:30 and glared at them before pulling the covers over my head. Next thing I new they were being ripped off of me and a little body jumped on my chest.

"Happy birthday!" Yelled Amira in my ear and I winced before giving her a thumbs up.

"Get out of bed! We have your presents," Andres said then gripped both my ankles and pulled me off the bed and onto the floor. I groaned and properly opened my eyes to stare up at all of them.

"Mornings guys," I grumbled and stood up, grabbing my cardigan and walking downstairs with my siblings right on my tail, making too much noise. When I walked into the kitchen, there was a banner hanging across the wall and a variety of balloons, confetti and presents on the table. I smiled at it before turning around and hugging the sibling that was there, it ended up being Marco. After hugging each one of my siblings, Luis lit up some candles on my favourite flavour cake and they all wished me happy birthday before I blew them out, Andres taking a picture of me.

I spent the next few minutes opening up my presents, most of it consisting of a new clothes and jewellery. While this was happening, Marco had quickly ran out to get us all some fancy breakfast, because apparently some places are open so early in the morning. Instead of eating at the dining table like we normally do, we were allowed to sit in the living room and watch some TV during breakfast.

"So what was the plan for today?" Luis asked.

"The Madrigals are coming round and then all the kids are staying for a sleepover," I said and then sipped my special smoothie that Marco had also bought for me.

"Ok just double checking, what time are they all coming round?"

"5 ish,"

"Alright, make sure we have enough beds and stuff for everybody, we can have most people in the living room and some people in our rooms." Luis said.

"Could Diego come?" Marco asked, doing his gross puppy dog eyes.

"Sure, just stop doing that face, it's weird," I rolled my eyes and he lightly shoved my shoulder.

For the next half hour, we were checking all of our cupboards and boxes for any sort of blanket, pillow or blow up mattress we could find. When I had met up with Camilo a few days ago to tell him the times of when to come and what the plan was, I asked if they could also bring some with them so hopefully they would. Luis was in panic planner mode, constantly counting how many blankets we had and if we had enough food for 18 people. He was now outside, setting up the barbecue and placing down chairs and bean bags. He sent out Marco and Amira to get stuff for s'mores as he was also trying to figure out how to light a bonfire.

Instead of helping out, I'm sat watching TV like the queen I am. Every so often I would look out of the window and see what new things had been added and Luis becoming even more sweatier. By lunchtime, everything had been set up and all we had to do was relax for a bit and then get ready for 5pm. We all decided to watch a film and the choice ended up being Mean girls, I've watched it so often that I basically knew every line.

Once the film was over I wanted to get a head start on getting ready so I had a quick shower as I hadn't had one in a couple days. I chose to wear some of my new clothes and jewellery and while I was getting changed, I plugged in my curling iron. I had sprayed some heat protection spray in my hair then straightened my hair, once that was all done, I curled my hair in very loose curls, every so often spraying some hair spray to make it stay. Suddenly I heard knocking at the door.

"Come in!" I shout.

"Hey, Mami and Papi are on the phone," Luis says while passing me the phone and sitting on my bed. I looked down and saw that it was on speaker.

"Hi Mama and papa," I say, grabbing my makeup box and searching for what I needed.

"Happy birthday mija!" They both shriek and I hear some clapping in the background.

"How is life living in Encanto?" Mami asks.

"It's great, I really love it here! I've made some good friends," I say, I was applying my makeup, deciding on a bold lip and shimmery eyeshadow.

"Even a boyfriend?" She asks and I start coughing.

"No mama... well there is this boy,"

"Mmmhh, what's his name?"

"Camilo, he's one of the Madrigals, he's really nice and we've even gone on a date with each other," I gush.

"well, your Papi and I will be coming in a few weeks to stay with you guys for a couple days, so I'll be able to meet him and your Papi and him can have a talk,"

"Don't worry about that, Luis and the twins have already lectured him enough," I say while looking over at Luis who shrugged his shoulders.

"Ay mija, well anyway Luis mentioned a sleepover you'd be having,"

"Yep, the Madrigals are coming around for dinner and then the kids are all staying for a sleepover, I'm looking forward to it."

"That's good honey, I'm happy that you are enjoying it there, I'm sorry that we've put you guys through the hassle of moving and having to be away from you guys for so long," Mami apologises and I look over at the Luis who had a sad smile on his face. While being here, he told us that the reason we had to move and our parents go on a business trip was because of money problems. Apparently some things had went wrong and the only way we could live comfortably was for our parents to go on that business trip. Knowing that Encanto was a lot less expensive than where we lived, papa thought it would be good to send us here.

"I understand, it's ok," I reassure her, understanding that they were put in a difficult position.

"Make sure to take lots of photos, I wanna see my babies having a great time when we visit."

"We will Mami, I'll speak to you soon, love you," I said before handing the phone to Luis and him walking off to probably give it to the twins. I got changed into my clothes for the night and picked out some fancy pyjamas I could wear for the sleepover. I spent around the next hour and a half just sitting on my bed daydreaming and painting my nails to match what I was wearing.

~Time skip~

The party was now in full swing, the Madrigal's had arrived with many plates of food cooked by Julieta. Music was blaring and everybody was out in the garden dancing and enjoying each other's company, many compliments on the decor done by Luis. The barbecue was near the side of the garden with Marco and Diego grilling up some corn, one of my favourites.

When everybody had arrived earlier, I greeted them and welcomed them in yet there was no Camilo. I had asked Mirabel where he was and she smiled a little and said he would be here soon making my eyebrows furrow in confusion. It has been about 45 minutes though and he still isn't here. I decided to go talk to Isabela and Dolores instead of standing in the corner of the garden by myself, it is my birthday after all.

"Hola, Dolores, Isabela,"

"Feliz cumpleaños, Y/N," they cheered, smiles across their faces. We fell into a comfortable conversation yet still in the back of my mind I kept wondering where Camilo was.

After a couple minutes of conversing, Marco yelled for everyone as the bbq meat and veggies had all been grilled. I was the first up to grab my plate as I was the birthday person and then I sat down on one of our fluffy, new grey deck chairs. As I was eating, I watched how Marco acted around Diego, he had a slight flush dusting his nose and cheeks and he always seemed to be attached to him by the hip. Luis and Luisa also looked like they were becoming really good friends, I was proud of Luis as I know he's struggled with making friendships in the past.

"Boo!!!!"

I'm so sorry for everyone who was waiting for an update, I honestly just couldn't find motivation or have been too tired :( I am gonna finish this wattpad though so don't worry.
