1 Year Time-Skip

I crept over to Naoko's room, the door creaking as I opened it.

"Koshi?" He groaned as he poked his head up.

"I'm scared."

"Come here," he lifted his blanket. I ran over and got under it. "Why are you scared?"

"I have my surgery today."

"I know. But why are you scared?"

"I don't wanna be by myself."

"You won't be, you'll have Daichi."

"He left for training."

"He'll make it. Besides, you have to leave in an hour."

"I know."

"Okay," he murmured.

"No, don't go to sleep."

"Ughhh, I know. But I'll be with your mom helping her out since I don't have class today so let me know."

"Okay." I hugged him before getting up. I went and got ready, looking at myself one last time. I grabbed my car keys and left. Once I got to the hospital, I started feeling nervous being by myself. I got set up with a room and everything, and all that was left to do was wait. I started to become even more panicked when I was about to go into surgery and Daichi wasn't there. I grabbed out my phone, shaking, and called Naoko.

"Yes tomato?"

"He's not here and I go in in 10 minutes."

"Okay okay calm down. I'll be there." He hung up. I sat there anxiously until Naoko and my mother came through the door.

"Mom," I sighed in relief and hugged her.

"Where's Sawamura?"

"Training, until four. But he said he could get out early since it's getting to the end of his training."

"He'll be here baby." She brushed hair out of my face. The doctor came in soon after and took me off.

"Okay, I just need you to count back from ten for me." The nurse put a mask over my face.

"10." My heart was pounding a thousand beats per second. "9." I was scared Daichi actually wasn't going to come. "8." My vision started to get foggy, and I could feel my body relaxing against the bed. "7..." I blacked out.

Daichi's POV

I stared at the report that was slapped on my desk. I knew how to do it, it was one of the easiest reports to write out. But I was tired and my mind was everywhere besides this report. There was a teenager in custody who kept banging the door consistently every 5 minutes. The phones were ringing nonstop. Somebody was talking about their weekend plans. Somebody was talking about their family coming to visit from out of town. Somebody's cousin just got surgery to get their appendix removed. Surgery.

"Shit..." I quickly logged on my computer to check the time. 7:38. Suga was supposed to be out of his surgery at 4:30. I frantically threw my stuff into my bag and shoved the reports in my desk. I ran out of the building jumping into my car and speeding down to the hospital. I ran inside to the desk.

"Hello, welcome to Tokyo Hospital, how can I help you?"

"I'm looking for Sugawara Koshi, he had a surgery at 11 o'clock this morning. He said he was supposed to be out at 4:30."

"Sugawara Koshi... Yes I see. He is in room 696. He already has two visitors at the moment."

"Okay, thank you." I ran down a hall, trying to find an elevator. It took me two elevator trips and 20 minutes to realize I had no idea where I was supposed to go. I looked around, seeing doctors and nurses everywhere. I walked up to a nurse in purple scrubs who was talking to another doctor.
