16. Damon

It's 1864 and you're expecting your best friend/boyfriend to arrive back from war but you get a telegram he is severely injured and might not make to go and say your goodbyes.

Your father was wealthy land owner in Mystic falls along with Guiseppe. You and Damon were friends since you learned to walk. Stefan was the cuddling buddy. Whenever you were feeling sad because of your mom who died you would just cuddle and ne would tell you it's okay.

Now you're 19 at that age most of the girls would be already married but you didn't know what you want to do with your life all you knew is that you want to spend it with Damon. Pf course your father only approved of the friendship because it would mean more money for him.

You loved him but sometimes he could be a jerk. You were walking back from your morning walk across the plantation. You saw a telegram on the table in the house. You opened it.

Dear Miss Y/N

It is the council of the US team we regret to inform you that the boy of name Damon was severally injured during battle we're not sure if he will live through the next week. Please come if you want to say what could be a goodbye.

General Rotz

You were a nurse in training it was always your dream job so you packed something that could be useful as a last resort to save him. You wrote a letter to your father informing him about your short leave.

You arrived at the camp and you went straight to the General.

"Hello My name's Y/N Blanker" You said and the General nodded leading you towards the medical tent. "Sir I'm a nurse in training maybe I could help I brought some supplies" You said and he nodded.

"We sure could use that" he responded and you ran to Damon's side his leg was severally bleeding and it was stopped by a cloth that was soaked. He had bruises all over him. You saw his eyes open when you took his hand.

"Y/N?" He asked half unconscious while the general got a doctor with supplies you brought they could save half the men in there.

"Hey I came to see you how are you hanging there?" You asked and he smiled. You placed a little kiss on his forehead.

"I missed hearing your voice" he mumbled and you saw the doctor came over with a needle and a thread. You swallowed your sobs knowing this wouldn't be pretty.

"I brought something so that they can save you" You whispered to him and the doctor handed you the bottle of alcohol which you passed over and made Damon drink. When the needle entered his skin he began squirm and move away till your soothing voice send him to sleep.

After two months he was going home and you couldn't wait to see him after he was healed you couldn't stay for many reasons. You waited impatiently at the door step and when the carriage arrived you jumped down and ran towards him wrapping your hands around his neck and kissing him full on the lips. He was surprised at first but then he kissed you back.

And in that moment you were sure that this is man you want to spend your eternity with. And after a short time you were engaged and soon to be married. You found out that Stefan got a girl by the name Valerie and they were happy together. This was your perfect life.

Hey so I hope you like this. It was actually inspired by one I read not long ago. Anyway only one more day guys and spring break starts so I am very happy 😀.
