27.Caroline and Stefan

Warning chapter inspired by 4x20 in legacies so if you haven't watched it don't read this.

So what if Klaus and Hope weren't the only ones who could see the other one last time. Yes I want to write one for Caroline and Stefan.

Hope walked through the school into the new headmistress's office on her way to talk to Caroline, she needed to talk to someone who loved her father.

She knocked on the door and waited untill Caroline opened it.

"Hello, umm how should address to you?"Hope asked since all time it was just Alaric there.

"Caroline is perfectly fine" Caroline said and opened the door more widely to let Hope in. "Can I help you with something Hope?" She asked the young tribrid.

"Actually I just need to talk to you" Hope said and Caroline motioned for her to sit on the chair.

"What do you need?"

"It's about my father"Hope said and Caroline smiled a little. "Umm well don't really know how much Dr.Saltzman told you but to defeat Malivor I had to kill my boyfriend and then I found out he actually became a ferryman in limbo who sails souls to peace"Hope said and Caroline's face saddened for a moment she knew all too well what it was like to loose the love of gour life. "And so I asked him if he could bring my father back for a short period of time because I need to talk to him, but now that I did get to see him one last time. I feel like I'm missing him even more" She admitted and Caroline put on a genuine smile.

"Well, from all the greif and death I have been through I think you should take in the words of your dad. It may hurt like hell but you got a second chance to see him and lord knows how many people would give up their very soul to be able to talk to their loved ones one last time" Caroline said and even if she tried to be calm, there was this little ounce of jealousy that young tribrid could see her father. "Because in end memories are all we had and we have to cherish them so I think that you are the luckiest person alive" Caroline finished and Hope noticed how sad she got. Hope looked at the name tag seeing the last name Forbes-Salvatore.

"Thank you Caroline, I needed that" Hope said and they hugged each other before Hope left to talk with Landon.

Hope was standing near the lake when ber boyfriend appeared.

"Hey, you called" He said and she smiled.

"Do you think you could get one more person into the world of the living for a short period of time?" Hope asked and Landon looked confused but nodded. "Thanks, because I had a talk with Caroline and she helped cope with everything so I just want to help her too" Hope said and Landon had a bright smile on his face. He loved his girlfriend.

"Well I would need someone dead first to sail over to peace because I as a ferryman can't cross to peace"Landon said and he remembered someone who was in Limbo and deserved to go to peace.

After Hope told Landon who to find he went back to Limbo to find Ted.

"Ted, come on it's your time" Landon said and Ted smiled. Landon explained to him everything that he needed to say and to find this person.

When they've reached peace a bright light consumed him and he felt nothing but happiness and peace. It was like all his worries faded away when he entered. He looked through the world trying to find one particular vampire. He didn't know what he looked like but there was a short Description given to him. When he spotted the man that looked similar to him he approached him.

"Hi, sorry to bother you but I'm looking for Stefan Salvatore" He said and the mysterious man smiled.

"You found me. What do you need?"Stefan asked.

"I have a message from Hope Mikaelson" He said and Stefan looked confused, he didn't really know how much time has passed since he died but now he knew it had a be a lot if the baby he saw last time was now a fully grown girl.

"She told me to tell you that there's a way for you to see Caroline one last time" If he was dead already he would definitely faint from this kind of news.

"Tell me what to do"Stefan said and he could barely contain his excitement.

Back at the Salvatore school Caroline was introduced to the ferryman himself Landon who currently lead her into the clearing just right outside the school.

"Landon will you finally tell me what's going on?"Caroline asked and Landon stopped before a giant tree.

"Well, Hope told me how much you helped her so she thought she'd return the favor" Landon said and Caroline looked confused before a figure stepped out of the shadow of the tree and Caroline fell to her knees crying. Stefan went over to her and and gently passed his hand over shoulder his hand going up and down her arms. She looked up at him, at his forest green eyes that always brought joy to her, to his hero hair.

"Stefan?" She chokes out in sobs and he nods trying to hold his own tears inside.

"Hey, shh, I'm right here"He told her and she snuggled closer to him afraid to let go she didn't want to loose him again. It hurt so much, the first time, that she couldn't do anything to stop it.

"I love you, so so much" he told her and she looked up at him and fully kissed him on the lips. It was like a breath of fresh air finally getting to her. She missed this. She missed how his lips tasted, she missed how he would occasionally bute her lower lip with his fangs.

"I love you too"She said when they parted the kiss.

"Caroline, I don't know where to start. I'm sorry but know that I will love you forever, even in peace. I'm thinking about you day and night. Morning and sundown. Breakfast and dinner. And that you are my light, my freedom, my very heart and soul."Stefan told her and she smiled before he began to vanish back into peace. She  sat there and thought of how this was exactly what she needed. To see him, hear him, and touch him. She would never forget him and he would never forget her.

I feel like my mental health needed this cause I can't get over Steroline. Like that ending no not accepting that.
