Chapter 15
Author's note: Wonderful cliff-hanger, wasn't it? Remember to keep in mind Moon's condition and the way she was feeling in chapter 14. Sorry for not updating as often as I should, but I am very busy. I hope you can all understand and I hope this chapter makes up for the prolonged wait.
Picture of Gailen to the side; enjoy ladies!

Gailen's point of view:
My mind ran blank. I didn't know what to do. I shot every spell possible at the ward; fire, shock, ice and nothing. I tried to swing my sword at it and I even shot an arrow at it, nothing... not even a cripple of movement. I screamed Moon's name and she could not hear me. My face was damp with tears and my hands were trembling in fear. In the past few days, I had treated her with such hate after my sudden love confession; which I regret since she doesn't reciprocate my feelings. Also, it was too sudden; at that moment, fear got the grip of me. She never expressed anything to me; she was always so dry. But I was worse; I treated her unfairly when she provided me with her trust. I was a jealous bastard and I couldn't contain my rage at times. It was my fault, all of this...
Suddenly, the temperature dropped and the wind stopped its gentle course. Was this the feeling of losing your beloved? Losing Moon would be like... ripping the sun out of the earth... the crops would not grow and they would die; that's what would happen to my world if I lose this person.
Then, the wind started again and I looked up to see some phantom standing in front of me. His face was grim as he looked down on me... he was taller than me, but not much. He had some hood on and black armor made out of the finest leathers I had seen. I could hardly make out the strange symbol on his chest, since it was small. I recalled that Moon had that symbol on all of her belongings; her sword, her bow, her arrows, her armor and her amulet. The phantom approached me and with an echoed voice said:
"Greetings, Gailen; it is nice to finally meet you. Thank you for leaving Moon alone in her time of need," the phantom hissed at me. "I am Hynnai, Moon's guardian."
His accent was Nordic.
"Well, Hynnai, I did not leave her, I lost her. Who are you to judge our relationship? Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
"I did not come here to fight with you. I just want to help you wake Moon. She's dying, but not dead. She needs her medicine to wake up from the black-out."
"And where can I find this medicine?"
"Her satchel; but she has it with her. Do you see that rock? There are some ingredients Lady Azura left for her. Take them and I will guide you for the others."
I quickly ran and took the small brown bag. It contained some weird flowers and strong smelling herbs. Hynnai was behind me and he urged me to follow. I took Iridescent's reigns and got on him quickly. Iridescent softly said into my thoughts:
"I also know the ingredients, Gailen. Do be careful, Hynnai does not like you and he might try something to harm us. I can break the ward, too."
I nodded and he sped up. Hynnai was fast, Iridescent almost couldn't keep up with his hasty pace. A few minutes passed and he stopped.
"We're here," it seemed as if he always had a hiss in his voice. My throat was dry and my skin cold.
I simply nodded and got off of the horse. Hynnai watched me with distance as he said:
"We simply need Gleamblossoms. Be careful, they're poisonous."
I opened my satchel and dug up some brown-ish gloves. I quickly put them on and got a dagger out. I cut about five Gleamblossoms and put them in a piece of white cloth. I put them in my satchel and nodded to Hynnai while looking at the distance. We got back to the ward place and Moon looked the same. Hynnai then said I had to do alchemy, which I wasn't the best at. I tried to mix two flower thistles and the mixture turned into green goo. Then, Iridescent approached me and said:
