Chapter 8
Author’s Note: Ana! I’m in love with Anabeth. She is not like Astrid. Her voice, in terms of tone, is very similar to Mephala’s (In Skyrim), slow and sexy with a hint of sarcasm. Do you guys enjoy the background I gave her? It is a bit rushed and harsh, but it’s the Dark Brotherhood, it has to be dramatic and crude. I never really heard of any specific background on the leaders of the Dark Brotherhood, so I thought it was pretty necessary. Anyone feeling the royal castle Sanctuary idea? I liked it; I wanted to make it different. Also, since she is royalty and the last heir to the throne of High Rock. Hail Sithis! And, where is the Night Mother? I lost her again… Maybe Cicero will find her!
P.S. Warpaint = Eyeliner. Also, the Shrouded Armor in this story is equal to the Better Shrouded Armor Mod.
Enjoy!

“Please, sit. Xavier has informed me all about you, sister. I am quite pleased,” Ana said whilst she invited me into her office. It was massive and her desk looked like a throne with a table in front of it.
“I see you like the way I remodeled the Sanctuary.” She smiled.
“Fit for a princess, my Lady.”
“Well, I am royalty indeed,” she laughed. “What brings you to the Brotherhood, Revenge? Lust for blood? Perhaps, a call from the Dread Lord?” I had to admit, this girl was beautiful, but she was very scary. She did not scare me, but she sure intimidate. She was a Breton, not so short, tanned skin (darker than Gailen’s), light blue eyes, and medium length brown wavy hair. She had the Brotherhood’s armor on, a royal gold and onyx Circlet, or crown, upon her head, and a Glass Dagger hanging from her thin hip. She was also very skinny. Also, she had little makeup on her face, maybe a bit of brown warpaint on her eyes and a bit of pink powder on her cheeks. What intimidated me was her stare, the sight of a cruel murderer.
“I seek help, Ana,” I replied simply.
“What for, dear?”
I explained to her my situation and she understood. About Gailen and my goals here; nothing too personal. I already trusted her. In the hours we’ve talked, I trust this woman.
“Well,” she said. “I am here for very personal and harsh reasons. I don‘t want to kill my father just for enslaving me and treating me like a maid or worse, like cattle.” She cleared her throat before continuing. “He also ordered to kill my mother. A group of bandits ambushed her while she was picking up some things in Northpoint from my father’s brother. She is dead because of my father; also, to keep his reputation, since my mother was my father’s lover while he was married to the Queen of Daggerfall. He was unfaithful to her and he still is.”
A single tear fell from her cheek, but she still had a grin in her face.
“My apologies, Anabeth. Shall I tell you about me?” I replied feeling uneasy. Somehow, she resembled my mother and a great friend.
“Of course,” she replied, while she wiped her tear quickly.
I sighed and I started
“Do you know what is the cause of this war is?”
“No, not really,” she replied with a questioning face.
“Well, the cause is me.”
She stayed silent and I began explaining.
“As you well know, I am the daughter of the Daedric Mistress Nocturnal and the Daedric Lord Sheogorath. My father, Sheogorath, wanted boys. He would call him The Sons of Madness or New Sheoth Cubs. But, sadly, the twins were fraternal and a female came out of Nocturnal’s womb after all the pride and joy of the first twin. Everything went dark. My father took my brother, Shian, when he was a newborn and left me with my mother. He corrupted my brother and now he is a copy of him. He hates me, so much he wants to see me dead; my father that is. And thus, this war was born. Luckily, my brother does not know who I am, but he has fallen in love with me. He is also on Nirn looking for allies and to kidnap his beloved sister.” Tears started to stream down my face. “This is all my fault. I already know what to do. This war will end with the fall of one of the twins. I have to die… my mother longs to meet her son and my father wouldn’t bear his death. I must die to end this war and end my mother’s sorrow.” I finished with a sad smile; my violet eyes scarce from any emotion, just tears flowing down like waterfalls. Anabeth hugged me; I felt my mother’s warmth briefly while she did. “It’s okay, Ana. It’s my destiny. I only wish I had Gailen back. Although I did not know him well, we had a special bond which was unbreakable; broken by corruption.”
