The Truth

Seeing their bodies fade into the huge forest, Loqui had a strange feeling all over her body like she knew the female wolf and the wolf that was in the shadows, but she thought that was ludacris!

She also noticed that the female wolf had eyes that were light brown- same as Loqui’s eyes. Loqui turned to face Rose and she caught her staring at her in a guilty way; Loqui tilted her head, gesturing, “what?” Rose smiled softly and said, “You don’t remember this, but those wolves- the mother and father met you when you were just a baby.

One day your father was out hunting for a rabbit and he came across a cub wolf and he killed it.

The cub wolf was the child of the two wolves you saw today. The alpha, Lycon, tried to get revenge for the death of his son, Lucian. Your father, Lucka, brawled with the male wolf and it was not pretty.

At the end of the brawl, your dad slashed the wolf’s belly open. Luka took the lifeless body of Lucian home and he saw your mother, Anika; he went to kiss her, but Lucian’s mother, Lykina, ripped his throat out, killing him instantly.

I came into the picture because I felt something out of the ordinary. Once I showed up to the cabin, I hurried to help your mother dragged your father’s body in the house.

Anika was about to give birth and she wanted me to save Luka, but I couldn’t, not without losing you, so she asked me to deliver you into this world. Now, I also helped the wolves; I went outside and Lykina wanted me to save her beloved mate, so I did.

However, I went back inside the cabin to check on you and your mother; you were just fine, but your mother had committed suicide. She knew that she couldn’t be able to keep you safe without Luka, so she entrusted me with that responsibility.

The wolves buried their son’s body outside the cabin and I buried Anika and Luka’s body. Lastly, I cleaned up the cabin and the wolves and I went our separate ways. That is the story of your parents and birth, Loqui.”

Silence fell on them both. Rose was the first to speak, "I know this is hard to take in. I should not have waited so long to tell you this major part of your life. I thought I was protecting you, but I see now that I was hindering you from knowing your true self. Please don't hate me, I wanted nothing more than to protect-"

Rose was interrupted by Loqui slamming her fists on the ground.
She was petrified and livid at what she heard from the woman that supposedly cared for her like a mother.

Loqui couldn't believe that the florists (a person she called mother) lied to her all this time! With tears falling down her face, she ran inside the cabin and went to her room.

Rose teared up a bit and nodded in understanding how Loqui must have felt. After cleanimg up all the food that was on the blanket she put everything back in the house.
