I woke up feeling really warm. Too warm, even.

In my sleepy-haze, I groaned quietly and moved around a bit, trying to understand why I was feeling so hot.

Then, memories of yesterday's events came back to me and I opened my eyes slowly to see the source of so much warmth was indeed Ashton Irwin himself.

I had slept cuddling his chest, but sometime during the night I must've tangled my legs with his and wrapped my arm around him because that's how we were now. I had basically held him like a child holds her teddy bear.

I carefully moved a bit so that I was leaning up on my elbows and had a clear view of Ashton's face.

He was still asleep- his mouth hanging just the tiniest bit open and his bed hair all over the place. His eyelids fluttered softly as he slept and he looked so calm and angelical that my heart seemed to skip a beat and a smile appeared on my lips.

I slowly brought my thumb up to his face and started lightly tracing it on his cheeks, then down to his jawline, letting my mind wander to everything that happened yesterday in the meantime.

After the paramedics left, I had asked grandma if I could see grandpa but she shook her head and said they had put him to sleep so he didn't feel too much pain and that he needed to rest.

I felt deeply disappointed but smiled anyway and said I understood and it was okay, even though it really wasn't.

Ashton had refused to leave and insisted he'd stay to make sure I was okay and didn't need anything- and honestly, I couldn't be more grateful for him to do that.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't even notice Ashton waking up until he called out my name in his raspy, deep, morning voice.

At the sound of his voice, I immediately looked down at him and smiled, seeing him rub both his eyes with the back of his hands, looking like an adorable little kid while doing so.

''You're staring.'' He commented matter-of-factly, not taking his hands away from his eyes.

''Guilty.'' I smiled cheekily, planting a quick kiss on his cheek.

He giggled that stupidly cute giggle of his and then swiftly rolled us over on the bed so that he was hovering on top of me.

He leaned down towards me, but just as I thought he'd kiss me right on the lips, he moved down to my neck and started leaving sloppy kisses everywhere there.

It was an unfamiliar feeling that I definitely liked. I tilted my head to the side to give him more room, not knowing what to do with my hands.

After a couple more minutes, Ashton leaned back. ''If I didn't have such horrible morning breath I'd definitely kiss the hell out of you right now.'' He comment, almost as a whine, hiding his head on the crook of my neck.

I laughed and gently pushed him off me. ''Well, I guess the sooner we brush our teeth the better then, huh?'' I teased, already walking towards the bathroom- knowing he'd follow behind.

He muttered something under his breath that I couldn't understand and I rolled my eyes, even though there was a grin on my face.
