Oh and just as a reminder, Lucy and Andrew are Emma's parents but she doesn't like to call them 'mom' and 'dad'.
It's been so long since I updated wow sorry

''Emma! Be a dear and come downstairs, will you?'' Lucy's annoyingly sweet voice yelled out.
I groaned and lazily set the book I was reading aside then went downstairs, making sure to take my own sweet time while doing so.
When I finally got down to the living room, Lucy and Andrew were sitting down on one of the ridiculously expensive sofas, and what nerved me the most was how eerily formal they were.
Lucy flashed me a big fake, controlled smile, waiting impatiently for me to sit down.
''Please, sweetie, take a seat.'' She motioned to the sofa opposite to the one they were sitting at with her hand.
Lucy's words were kind but her tone left no room for argument. I knew her too well by now to know that underneath her calm, neutral exterior, she was pissed and getting more and more impatient with me by the minute. Which is exactly why I made no move to sit down at first. Instead, I slowly glanced over to my father's quiet figure and wondered if he actually liked to be bossed around so much by my mother.
Noticing how my mother's cheeks were starting to get red and how it looked like she was about to explode, I finally sat down and tapped my fingers on my thigh to a song Ashton had sent me a few days ago absentmindedly.
Realizing I wasn't going to say anything, my father cleared his throat then began to speak in his soothing, velvety voice. ''Darling,'' Darling, Sweetie, Sweetheart- it's always one of those. Maybe they forgot my name? I thought distractedly to myself. ''-we've come across a great business opportunity in one of our trips to Las Vegas and we've decided to move there-''
During his speech, my eyes went wider and wider and my mouth fell open. They could not mean what I thought they meant. Right?! No fucking way. No. No. No. No- ''No, no, no, no, no!'' I abruptly stood up with so much force the sofa was pushed back a little. My fists were clenched by my side and my nostrils were flared, my face heating up with anger.
Now that I had finally started finding a place for myself here, they thought they could simply expect me to move all the way over the country with them? No way in hell.
''Emma Ann Bourne, sit back down and don't disrespect us.'' Lucy hissed through gritted teeth.
I snickered sarcastically, not believing what I had just heard. ''Disrespect you? Disrespect you? Do you even have any idea what respect is?'' I spilled out, finally saying something I had been wanting to say for years now.
She opened her mouth to say something but I cut her off.
''You've never respected me, your own daughter, or, hell, worse, your own bloody parents.'' I stared directly at my mom, anger fueling me to say everything that had been caught up in my throat for what felt like eternity.
''Do you even care that your father is dying? Do you even have any emotions in there? Somewhere? Do you two even fucking care about anything other than yourselves and your stupid company? Because honestly, none of you have ever been anything close to parents to me so don't expect me to just drop my life here and move all the way over the freaking country with two people who never even bothered to get to know me! I refuse to let you do this to me, I won't go.'' I burst out and I spoke too fast because by the end of my little rant, I was out of breath and flustered.
