Mina is here again, eating her breakfast for the second time. I don’t know what’s going on. Is Jackson hurting her? If he is, then I need to get Mina out of there.
"Mina, for the second time, what happened to you?" I asked her seriously, staring directly into her eyes, which were filled with fear.
"It’s just an accident, like last time," she answered.
"How is it an accident again? Did your knife just decide to fly?"
I’m seriously confused. How did a knife hit her jawline? Does her knife have wings and just decided to fly around happily, only to accidentally bump into her face or body?
"Nayeonie, what I said is what happened. I flinched and accidentally cut my neck and jawline. Do you understand now!?" She raised her voice slightly before leaving.
What’s happening to you?
I scratched my forehead and let out a sigh. "I’m leaving," she said blankly and walked out of my apartment.
I watched her walk away, feeling the tears begging to fall. Just then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see who it was.
"Momo!" I shouted happily.
She hugged me, and I invited her into my apartment.
"Are you hungry?" I asked.
She shook her head and smiled.
"Water? You want water?" I asked again.
"Nope," she replied.
"Just tell me what you want, okay?"
She suddenly smirked. "What if I want Dahyun? Will you give her to me?"
I opened my fridge and grabbed some tofu. "Here," I said, handing it to her. She glared at me.
"The heck!?" she rolled her eyes.
I laughed. "You already have Dahyun."
"I know," she smirked.
I rolled my eyes and mumbled, "Whatever."
"So, you and that penguin aren’t on good terms, huh?" she asked.
"Unfortunately, yes," I sighed.
She raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
"Some serious matters," I answered shortly, avoiding her gaze.
"Wow, didn’t know you could be serious," she teased.
"Am I not allowed to be serious?"
"Oops, I didn’t say that," she stuck out her tongue.
"Whatever you say, Hirai Momo."
She giggled, but her face turned serious. "But seriously, what happened between you two? That’s the first time I’ve seen Mina walk out on you."
Damn, that serious face is kinda hot. "Like I said earlier, it’s a serious matter. I think I shouldn’t get you involved because we can fix this."
She sighed. "Make sure. We’ll be having a party later for Lisa’s birthday."
Oop, I forgot about that. "Can I bring someone?"
"Ask your best friend, Im Nayeon, not me," she said.
I called Jennie, and she said it’s fine with Lisa if I bring someone.
"I’m gonna bring Ji-eun."
"Who’s that?" Momo asked curiously.
