Nayeon's POV
Years have passed, and we’re still going strong. We got married and adopted a 10-year-old daughter, Im Sharon.
"Dada, where’s Mom?" she asked.
"Downstairs, honey."
"Okay, thanks, Dada." She replied and ran off.
Sharon is quite the character—boyish and cool, like a little badass. If I were her classmate, I’d do anything to win her over, but as her mom, I’ll just support her and be proud of her. That’s my biggest flex.
"Dada, Mom is calling you," Sharon said, peeking through the door.
Sharon is a softie at home but tough outside. I smiled at that.
"Okay, I’ll be there in a minute."
"Okii. ~ "
I went downstairs to find Mina washing the plates. She didn’t notice me, so I hugged her from behind, making her flinch slightly.
"Dada, you’re here," she said softly.
She started calling me "Dada" because of Sharon. It’s funny how habits rub off on us.
"Yes, my wife. I’m here."
"Are you hungry?" she asked.
"Kinda. Do we have any food?"
She paused for a moment, thinking. "Yes, I cooked something earlier. We should eat. Please call Sharon, and I’ll set the plates."
"No, don’t overwork yourself. I’ll call Sharon and get everything ready. You just sit down and rest."
She smiled sweetly and took a seat. I called Sharon loudly, making Mina cover her ears. Sharon shouted, "Coming!" before finally coming downstairs.
"Let’s eat, honey. Dada’s hungry." I said, and my stomach growled loudly.
They chuckled as Sharon took her seat. We enjoyed our lunch and reminisced about past events.
Sharon got a bit upset with her Uncle Jackson. Knowing what he did, it was understandable. When she’s angry, it’s best to just listen and stay quiet.
Jackson had gotten out of jail after someone bailed him. I was nervous when he wanted to talk to Mina, but my worries disappeared when he smiled at her, knelt down, and begged for her forgiveness. Mina forgave him, and things improved. He found his true love, and they got engaged, which is why Sharon calls him "Uncle" now.
I closed my book, finishing the final chapter.
"Well, I guess this is the end of our story for now. Thanks for reading, everyone!" I wrote in the book.
"Are you ready for the next one? Stay tuned; I’m still working on it."
This is Im Nayeon, signing off. "Goodbye!"
