Ronan's P.O.V
"Honey, would you please calm down?" Amalia says as she places her hand on my shoulder. I turn around to her with anger racing through my veins.
"Calm down?" I let out a dry laugh. "You want me to calm down? How about you go figure out how the hell I'm going to get our fucking daughter away from Ryder Montalli. I have tried every fucking thing and thought about everything. I still come up fucking empty." She crosses her arms.
"Well from what I've heard she has been with him for almost a year and he hasn't tried to kill her. Until we can find a solution, I think we should be fine." I let out a dry laugh.
"I'm not going to give him the chance of trying to kill my daughter, Amalia. Ryder will be a dead man the moment he tried." She rolls her eyes.
"Don't raise your voice to me. I have done nothing wrong but try to help you." I look away from her. "If you want anyone to blame for Azura pushing us away it's you. You only have yourself to blame." I look back at her as I felt my anger rising.
"What?" She scuffs.
"What kind of father takes a twelve-year-old girl with him to do a drug run? Everyone knows those things don't always go to plan. Most of the time they end up with someone dying. A twelve-year-old should not have to see her father murder someone in cold blood, Ronan." I snort as I look away from her.
"You don't think she has seen someone die before?"
"I think that you traumatized our daughter and now she hates us. She and Quill weren't supposed to know that we were mixed into this. They aren't supposed to know about the fire in the church." I look at her.
"I do not regret my decisions. I do not care how many people died in that damn church. Hell, I don't even care that she knows about it. I wanted people to fear me and that's exactly what I got." She throws her arms in the air.
"Yeah? Well, your damn ego is the reason why our children are on death row. Your need for fear from the most dangerous people is why everyone wants her for their revenge. Just remember that when you want someone to blame."
Azura's P.O.V
I open the door and walk into the office with shaky hands. I was nervous but excited. I let out a breath of air as I walk up to the desk. The lady behind the counter smiles at me. "I am guessing you are Azura?" I give her a warm smile.
"I am," She looks down for a moment before holding out an orange envelope to me. I grab it and open it to see my name on a diploma. I smile widely and thank her before walking out the door. Ryder was leaning on his car with his arms on the top of it with a smile while looking at me. He chuckles as I show him.
"Congratulations baby," I giggle as I lean on the looking at him.
"I finished high school and now college," He nods.
"Yes, you did," I look down at the diploma. "What do you want to do now?" I look at him.
"What do you mean?" He shrugs.
"You finished school. What's your plan for after?" My smile drops a bit.
"I'm not sure. I just wanted an education." I wasn't sure what I was going to do now. I honestly was only in college because I wanted to get as high of education as I could get. Now that I have it I had no idea what I was going to do next.
"Well, how is this for your first step?" I look up at him. "I put the diner in your name when I bought it," My eyes popped as my jaw dropped.
"What?" He nods.
