FIFTEEN

"I'm not exactly sure why you had me meet you here without anyone knowing. It's just a fast station. What's so wrong about that?" Molly asked. I glance out the window as Ryder puts gas in the car. I take a deep breath and go to the end of the store and turn to her. 

"I'm going to ask you to do something for me that you can't tell anyone about. Okay?" She gives me a confused look. 

"Not even Quill?" I shake my head. 

"If Quill finds out then so will Zeke and I don't want to put him through that kind of pain." She gives me a small smile. 

"I understand," I hand her some money and she looks at it. 

"Pregnancy test," I said nervously. Her eyes go wide as she looks at me. 

"What?" She whispered yelled. I looked around to see if anyone was watching but no one was. 

"I don't have time to explain. Ryder will be done in a minute and come in here looking for me. Just please," She takes the money and puts up her hood as she goes to the pharmacy side. I go to the bathroom and wait until she knocks. I open the door and she walks in. 

"I got three," I nod and turn to the toilet. "Um, do you want me to leave?" 

"You can just turn around," She nods and I take a deep breath. The next five minutes go by in a blur as I wait for the test. She leans on the door and looks at the ground nervously. 

"What are you going to do if you are?" I was shaking my leg nervously as I looked at the ground. 

"I don't know," I mumble. 

"You can't hide something like this from Ryder. He will find out. I've known him for a long time. He always finds out," I swallowed harshly. 

"I know," A knock goes on the door and she jumps. Her eyes go on me widely. "Hello?" 

"Everything okay?" Ryder asked with an annoyed tone. I clear my throat. 

"Yeah, I'm almost done." 

"I'll be out in the car," 

"Okay," Molly lets out a breath of air. She opens her mouth to talk but I hold my finger to my lips as I stare at his shadow under the door. After a few seconds, it faded. I jump at my timer on my phone. I take a deep breath and go to the sink. I pick up the first one to see the plus. My heart sank. I pick up the second one more desperately. It also had a plus on it. My chest got heavier. I go to pick up the last one as Molly picks it up. Her eyes go wide as she looks at me. 

"You're pregnant? With Ryder's child?" I look at her and it hit me how screwed up things were. I throw them into the trash but one and grab my stuff. "Azura?" I stop at the door with my hand on the handle. "You can't ignore this," I look at her. 

"Just don't tell anyone. Okay?" She nods. I walk out of the bathroom and walk outside. Ryder raises his eyebrow at me as he shoves his hands in his pockets. 

"You were in there for over 15 minutes. What were you doing?" I get to my door. 

"My stomach was upset. I'm sorry," I mumble. I get into the car and look out the window. He gets into the car and looks at me. 

"What is wrong with you?" I look at him. 

"I could as you the same question. You've been acting different since I told you I loved you." His eyes go forward. I nod and look back out the window. "Typical," 

"You are going to stay at your brother's house for a few days. I have business out of town." I look back at him. 

"You still trust me to go over there? After everything with Zeke?" He looks at me with anger in his eyes as he grips the string wheel.
