Chapter 45

Y/n's POV:

Months passed and Izuku still hadn't woken up. My stomach has grown slightly bigger since I was at the six month mark.

I talked to Izuku everyday, sometimes not leaving his room. I would cuddle at his side and lay his hand on my stomach.

Miss Inko threw a gender reveal party for me. A cake from one of the best dessert makers in Japan, a maternity dress that she made, an event planner and a five-star chef.

Mr. Toshinori hired videographers and photographers to capture the entire thing. I had a good time, even though I knew Izuku wasn't by my side at the moment.

Found out I was having a boy. When I saw the confetti from the piñata I bursted into tears.

"I hope our baby looks like you...", I sighed as I held his hand.

I placed his hand on my stomach and the baby instantly began to move towards it. Giving small kicks and flutters into his hand.

"Our baby loves you so much Izuku...", I giggled as I continued to move his hand around my stomach and the baby continued to follow.

A few weeks after that day I was diagnosed with perinatal depression, the dramatic change in me was noticeable. I heard a soft knock on the door and looked up with tired eyes.

"Hey, Baby. How are you feeling?", Mina asked as she brought some bags in.

"I miss him so much...the doctors still don't know when he'll wake up but his wound is healing faster...it's been months", I sniffled as my puffy red eyes began to water.

"I know, I know. He's gonna wake up, he always gets back up when he falls", Mina said softly as she began to place the food I was craving for on the table.

"I'm not hungry...", I mumbled as I laid my head back down.

I was stressed, feeling hopeless, having constant anxiety attacks, wasn't getting enough sleep and I was even doubting about raising this baby. I loved this baby so much but thoughts of failing as a parent began to cloud my head.

"Y/n, you have to eat something. You're carrying his child", Mina urged.

"I can't- I just can't, Mina", I whimpered as I began to sob.

"Y/n, I understand you are going through some things but get yourself together. You going through this depression can cause serious problems", Mina pulled me up by my shoulders and stared into my eyes.

"I-I know and I'm trying-"

"It can cause you to go through a pregnancy loss such as a misscarriage, stillbirths, terminations or your baby can be born with disabilities and so much more. Do you want that to happen?", Mina asked.

"N-no, I don't want to lose my baby. I don't want anything to happen to my baby", I felt tears fall from my eyes as I stared at her.

"I know this sounds harsh but you have to suck it up or it will cause you both harm. What if Izuku wakes up and something happens to you or the baby?"

I nodded as I wiped my tears. I had to be strong, for the three of us.

Mina slowly brought the table towards me and I began to eat, sniffling every once in a while rubbing my hand over my growing stomach. Mina watched me with sad eyes as I sobbed into my foodt.

Once I finished eating, Mina took the plate away and gave me a hug. I squeezed her tight as tears made their way to my eyes.

"We are going to go to your doctor and request you some help, I want you to feel better", Mina whispered to me.

"It's so hard, Mina. It hurts so much to just see him like this. His wound has healed but the doctors still don't know when he'll wake up", I sniffled.

"I know, Baby, but you have to understand that even if you don't have him right now there are others right behind you and supporting you through this"

I nodded as I dug my face into her shoulder. Mina rubbed my back as she whispered soothing words into my ear.

"It'll be alright... we are gonna get you help and Izuku will wake up, we all have hope that he will"

Izuku's POV:

"Shit!", I hissed as more demon-like creatures continued to jump onto me.

I heard Y/n talking to someone, however I was busy trying to escape these things. I was running, being dragged back and had to fight more.

Thankfully, in this dark abyss I didn't get tired and I couldn't feel pain that much. I kicked through on the creature's stomach and snapped another's neck.

I would clear a path and set running, each time getting a bit closer than the last.

"I've gotta make it, everyone is counting on me", I gritted as I ran.

I kicked off a hand that grabbed my ankle before multiple others dragged me a few feet back. I smirked at the very little distance between the light and I.

"Just a bit more and I'm coming home", I strained as I continued to rip their bodies apart.

Suddenly as I snapped a limb off one of the creatures, the light seemed to flicker and my eyes widened as it dimmed a bit. Since I was distracted for a few seconds, they grabbed me again and dragged me even further.

Their claws dug into my leg and I groaned out, I tried to claw my way back. They shrieked in delight as I continued to kick them off and struggle.

"Fuck!"

I was finally able to kick them off, so I began running again. This time as I ran, I continued to fight the ones that jumped at me.

Pulling off their limbs as I continued to run. I ran faster and faster, when one pulled on my leg I twisted and kept running.

This time the problem was that the light seemed to be getting farther away as it flickered. I pushed faster, fear filled my chest as I continued to fight them off.

I continued to run, not stopping as I pumped myself faster. I got closer as the light continued to violently flicker.

"C'mon...C'mon...I have to make it", I urged as I pushed myself faster.

Growls and screams could be heard behind me but I pushed forward, ripping anything apart that tried to stop me. Y/n flashed into my mind and I smiled a bit reaching my hand out.

Ducking as a creature attacked from the side. I gritted my teeth as I continued to rip and dodge.

Time was slow in this place, I didn't know if she was close to her due date or if she had already given birth. I shook my head as to not worry about those things.

'Get out of here and you can see them'

I thought as I neared closer to the light. Getting closer and closer, until I finally touched it.
