Harper had barely spoken to Jake since halloween. There were a few times where they had to talk about a case or he had tried speaking to her but she always gave a dry reply and made sure it ended as quickly as possible.
When she spoke to her brother's girlfriend Sadie about the situation Sadie reassured her that she wasn't overreacting. "You felt used that hurts going to take a hot minute to get over"
She wasn't ready to forgive him yet but she felt like she was close.
That was until she walked into the briefing room and found out she wasn't allowed to leave the precinct because Jake foolishly arrested a man with no evidence. If it was only a half hour wait she would have been fine with it, but it could take up to 2 entire days to find any evidence.
No sleep, no shower and no Harry Potter marathon that she had planned because Jake had no control of his impulses.
Her and Aaron had somewhat agreed to be just friends after he saw how much Harper liked her coworker. Although the situation was more like friends with benefits than strictly platonic.

Harper, along with the rest of the precinct, was rightfully aggravated by Jake and his lack of impulse control. Two days locked inside had put a large dent in all of their plans. Amy had been talking Harper's ear off constantly about the date she had planned, the date she's now had to cancel.
Harper's mind was going a hundred miles an hour, Jake's rash decision to make the arrest is linking back to the 'halloween kiss'. In both scenarios he never cared how his actions would affect those surrounding him.
