Harper was excited yet nervous, it had been over a year since she last saw her brother. 'What if he's changed' she thought. Frantically running around her one bedroom apartment sorting everything until it was perfect she realised there was no need to panic it's only her brother.

Even after she reassured herself everything was fine she still had a feeling that it could be better. so she set off again readjusting everything until it fit her criteria of 'perfect'.

Now that all the nerves where gone she just couldn't wait to see her older brother again.

Harper and Ben were very close growing up they did everything together, wether it was dressing up like princesses for Harper or playing video games for Ben they always made sure the other was included. Unlike many siblings their close relationship didn't end when they grew up in-fact it just became stronger.

That was until Ben moved to New York. He moved to New York to get a fresh start but it was hard for them to keep in tough due to time zones and they were always busy. Harper was missing her brother so she decided to join in him New York a year later.

*ding dong*

Harper kept out of her chair as raced to the door as soon as she heard the bell chime.

"Ben!" She shouts whilst opening the door hugging him without any hesitation.

"I've missed you Harper" Ben laughed breaking the hug after a few seconds "I brought along my girlfriend I hope you don't mind but I really wanted you to meet her"

"Oh of course it's fine hi I'm Harper" She said in a fake happy tone, it wasn't anything against the girl although she wished it was just her and her brother this time.

"Oh hello I'm Sadie, Bens told me all about you he was so excited when you told him you were coming" the girl said sweetly reaching to hug Harper.

Harper accepted their hug even though she was still disappointed. "Come in, come in"

"So Harper how have you found the transition a lot different to England right?" Her brother asked.

"Oh yeah I'm doing fine but it does feel different"

"So Harper you met any cute guys yet?" Sadie asked

"Yes" Harper said shocked at her answer "I mean no"

"Tell me all about him"

"No boys"

How did you meet him"

"No boys"

"On a scale of 1-10 how attractive is he"

"No boys"

"Ben shut up" Sadie warned "I'm trying to talk to your sister"

"No really there isn't anyone yet" Harper said attempting to reassure her brother.

"I dont believe you"

Ben let out a sigh of relief

After another hour of catching up and chatting Ben and Sadie left for a date. Harper felt lovely afterwards so she decided to go down to sals.

"10 inch meat feast please Sal" she ordered walking into the diner.

"Coming right up" He replied.

Sitting down at a table she watched a makeup tutorial on YouTube until someone sat down in front of her.

"Why watch something on your phone when you can just look at me" it was Jake

"But why would I ever want to do that?"

"Ok hurtful but seriously look at me it's a great sight"

"Fine" she looked up "happy?"

"Hey are you ok" he asked genuinely concerned.

"It's just... me and my brother were meant to hang out today just us but he brought his girlfriend Sadie, don't get me wrong she was so so nice and we had so much fun ." she hesitated "but I kinda wish it was just me and him"

"Well forget about it we'll have our own fun" he shouted getting up to leave "staring now"

"But the pizza-"

"After pizza!"

After the pizza Jake and Harper left just like Jake promised.

"So are you excited for a whole night with the one and only Jake Peralta"

"Oh jumping for joy" she played along "what's on the agenda for tonight?"

"Well first of all we're gonna get some snacks and then we're going to go back to my apartment and watch... you guessed it die hard"

"That actually sounds quiet nice"

"Of course it is it's with me"

"Oh ha ha ha tell me the next one"

"You're being extremely hurtful tonight you know that"

"Oh suck it up"

Jake and Harper made it to Jakes apartment. The tv in his living room didn't work so they used the one in his bedroom. They sat throwing sweet at each other not really paying attention to the movie which was a shock to them both since die hard is jakes favourite movie.

Harper was officially distracted about the fact she never got alone tine with her brother. She was even beginning to forget that she even met with him earlier that day.

They spent the night joking around and having fun neither of the wanted it to end.

That kept going until eventually they fell asleep in each others arms
