Harper Miller stood outside of Sals Pizza. She had just arrived in Brooklyn and was starving. After reading a pizza blog online by someone named Charles Boyle she decided to try it out.
Walking into the diner she decided to play it safe and order a 6" pepperoni pizza to take away.
"You've done it again Sal, best pizza around" she heard a man say to the person behind the counter. The man and Sal converse a while longer until Sal disappears round the back.
"So you say this is the best pizza around, Is it really that good?" Harper asked the man.
"Of course it is!" The man exclaimed.
"I see I made the right choice coming here then"
"So I take it you just moved, from England I assume?" He said in a posh accent
"Oh I don't really sound like that do I?"
"A little bit, so anyway what brings you to Brooklyn?" He asked
"Oh I transferred here to be closer to my brother, Ben, he moved here a few years back"
"Seriously? You couldn't of come up with a more interesting story?"
"Ok fine why am I here?" She challenged
"After spending 4 years running all over London trying to lose the queens guards after robbing the palace. You decided the only way to escape with the jewels and your life was here, in Brooklyn" The man explained getting more excited with every word. "How'd I do?"
"Oh spot on, my secrets out" she played along "But want to hear a joke"
"Go on then"
"What's the pizzas favourite movie?"
"What?"
"Pie hard" she said giggling.
The man burst out laughing. "Pie hard- I mean die hard is actually my favourite movie"
"Oh really mine is Aladdin"
"I'm peralta, Jake peralta. And yo-"
"One 6 inch pepperoni pizza to go!" Sal announced cutting Jake off.
After thanking Sal and leaving a tip in the jar Harper made her way to the door.
"Oh and Jake, slice to meet you"
