Jay's POV:

The night so far had been going great. I didn't burn anything while making dinner, Kins was relaxed and was wearing a Chevrons shirt, and the best things of all we had a song and she agreed to be my girlfriend. But something still hadn't happened, and both of us knew it. I wanted to kiss her so bad, everytime those milk chocolate cheeks displayed her dimple or when she playfully rolled her eyes at me, it drove me crazy. Crazy in a good way. Things with Kinsley were easy and I found myself opening up to her like I never had to anyone else. I felt like I was learning so much, but I couldn't get enough, she was so damn intoxicating.

"Hellooooo, is anybody home?" Kinsley chuckled as she gently knocked her clenched fist against my forehead for effect. I grabbed her hand and kissed it fiercely without any hesitation, "I'm here, just got distracted by you for a little is all." I wasn't entirely lying, the whole time I had been zoned out, I was thinking about her. She inched a little closer to me on the couch we were sitting on and passed me the remote, "You're tv is way way way too fancy. I can't even figure out how to turn it on." she offered. I took the remote out of her hands and turned the tv on, shifting my body so that I was turned more towards her. "Why are you sitting so far away?" I grinned as a patted for her to come closer to me. She looked over at me coyly and fecicously scooted towards me about half an inch. She must forget I'm a football player, I thought to myself. I stretched out one of my muscular arms and wrapped it around her tiny waist moving her exactly where I wanted her. She surprised me as she wrapped her arms around my neck, "Do you always get what you want silly?" I felt a shift in the air, and decided it was now or never. I swallowed the lump in my throat, the nervousness audible.

I bent my head towards her, my blue green eyes lowering towards her full lips. "Well, I want to kiss you, and I haven't gotten that." I heard the words come out but everything else around me seemed to stand still. The grip that she had around my neck intensified and I could feel her rubbing small circles where my hairline met my neck, "Well, if you always get what you want, what's stopping you?" Kinsley whispered leaving her lips parted. I didn't want anything to stop me anymore. I stroked her hair brushing it gently behind her ear, my thumb leaving a whisper of a touch on her temple. Cupping her chin gently in my hand, I eased her face towards mine.

As our lips touch, I watched as her eyes fluttered shut. It was incredible. Soft, and gentle, and slow, and perfect, and even though I wanted so badly to deepen our kiss, I didn't. As I let go of her lips with reluctance, I presse my forehead against hers. I felt her sigh as her deep brown eyes opened to meet mine. She shyly bit down on her lip, and it swelled my heart with pride that I was the one who had gotten her to look this amazing, to look this calm. My heart was racing, and I assumed hers was too, because we sat there in what seemed like forever in our own little bubble of amazement. When we finally broke away from each other, she looked at me slipping into a smile as she hopped off of the couch. "I feel like that kiss deserves a celebration, let's cut the cake!" I busted out laughing as I followed her into the kitchen, grabbing plates out of the cabinet as she grabbed a container of strawberries and a can of whipped cream out of my spotless stainless steel fridge.

"Since when does a celebration call for fruit?" I looked at the strawberries in fake disgust. "Uhhhh, since like forever! Trust me, I'm a doctor I know when something is good for you." she retorted her back leaning against the counter as she waved her hands with expression. I couldn't help myself and took it as my next unofficial cue. I took a big stride towards the counter she was leaning against, and pressed her measley 5 ft frame against mine. "So um, is this good for you?" I picked her feet up off of the floor slightly as i kissed her. "Is. what. good. for. you.?" my pecks punctuated each of her words. "Kissing?" I nodded, not wanting to break away from her. Leaning her head back to see my face, she smirked in agreement, "Oh, it's the best medicine of all. I prescribe it to all of my patients." By now she was sitting on top of the counter that she had previously been standing against, my hands resting on her thighs as we kissed. After a few more seconds it was my turn to pull back, I tasted her tangerine chapstick that I had seen her apply earlier as I ran my tongue over my lips. "Hey, hey, hey there eager beaver. I thought we were supposed to be celebrating!" She giggled, "You're right, you're right! We were just giving ourselves a little more to celebrate is all." As she slid off of the counter with my help, I could not help but to think about how lucky I was to have such a cool girl like her, and about how much I better not screw it up.
