My Little Dove

Chapter 4

Dove's POV:

"When should I pack my things to move in?"

"Is today ok?"

"Today? I don't think I could get someone that quick"

"I have it handled"

Movers were already at my house when we arrived.

"So, Doll, would like all of your books? Some of them?"

"Is all of them ok?"

"Take whatever you want hun, I have room"

"Ok" I nod

"I'm hungry, you wanna get something to eat?"

"That's fine"

"Good" He smilies

We walk into a loud restaurant and Bucky grabs some guy's shirt and kisses him.

"You still on for tonight?" He smiled

"Of course" He grinned, looking down at me

"Is she joining?"

"No, this is my fiancé"

"She's cute"

"Isn't she?" He laughed

We seat at a booth and he orders something for both of us, which I definitely didn't mind.

"So, Dove, tell me about yourself"

"Um, what do you want to know?"

"Tell me about your family"

"I have an older sister and a mom and dad. I wouldn't say we have the strongest relationship, but I talk with them every once in a while" I shrug, glancing up at him. He had his undivided attention on what I was saying.

"What about you?" I ask, trying to quit his staring

"I have an older sister, older brother and a younger brother, and also a mom and dad. They're all a bunch of snobs who think they're better than everyone else. They all suck ass, except for my little brother Jace"

"I'm sorry about that"

"It's cool, as a kinda middle child I did my fair share of acting out" He shrugs, dipping a chip into the queso. "Once, this kid had bumped into me on my first day at school, so I pretend I was his substitute for 2 weeks"

"Did you really?"

"Yep, got in-school suspension" He laughs. "Oh, and once I had this huge crush on this girl at school, and I snuck into a mansion and acted like it was mine, while the family was home"

I look down and let out a small laugh.

"Look, the pretty girl does laugh"

I look up at him through my brows and look back down.

"We have to make a little more of a scene when we leave. Answer maybe one or two questions. I don't want to overwhelm you"

"That's fine"

We get our food, which was just two burgers. But, hands down the best burger I had ever had.

When the lady tells us the bill, I nearly choke on my already swallowed food.

"Um, Bucky I don't have enough"

He looks at me and hands the waiter his card. "I wasn't expecting you to pay, Sugar Plum"
