That's all it was supposed to be. Her. Him. Pleasure. And then a fast goodbye.
He's a stranger. And yet, He's not.
I know he'll feel like pleasure and passion, even before he touches me.
I know he'll demand more than I want to give, and yet, because...
I rubbed my eyes as I continued to stare at the screen , trying my best to concentrate. The words on the screen seemed to all merge together into the one whole blob
Unable to get any work done, I sighed as I slammed my laptop shut. I brought my fingers up to my temples and started rubbing them
'That's it I am going down to Starbucks to grab something to drink before work With determination I stood up from my spot on the living room and made my way towards my bedroom I stood infront of my closet and changed into my formal wear. Noticing the time I start to get ready faster. In the middle of the hurry i managed to bang my elbow on the edge of vanity and stub my toe on the foot of my bed
I hates getting READY
And it was only Wednesday
While letting my hair dry, I quickly did my skincare routine and makeup No matter how much hurry I am in I always remembered my skincare routine My makeup look for today was quite simple which made it quite easier for me, As I was trying to stick my lashes I accidentally poked my eyes, Causing them to tear up I had to quickly blink away my tears before they smudged my eyeliner Glancing at the time I quickly straitened my hair
It was 10:00 when I finally finished doing my makeup and hair which took longer than usual I was never good at doing things under pressure

I checked my appearance one more time in mirror And I took a look around my apartment making sure everything was in place, before grabbing my keys from the bowl next to the door
It was a big day for her
🖤🖤🖤
I entered Starbucks that was located in the middle of the city It was a cosy cafe usually busy with business man and women I opened the door with chime, and the scent of coffee immediately filled my nostrils
Making my way into the cafe, quiet music played in the background of the cafe immediately bringing me peace I noticed few people lingering in the cafe slouched over a laptop or phone most likely to escape the loud and busy street of Mumbai.

My favourite barista Massie spots me and waves me over, clutching today's newspaper.
"Get ready, India .The trail of the century begins today."
'Stop it Massie Aunty. I hate when you read my articles out loud.'
Massie Aunty gives me a big cheeky smile and keeps reading.
" Will we finally get an answer to the question everyone is asking: who killed Jennifer Khanna?"
'Let me guess... Was it you? I've been waiting for your fiery temper to finally get yeh best of you.'
'Massie Aunty you know I don't kill and tell'
'You did once threaten to pour hot coffee on a man who cut you in line. To be fair , he was very rude'
'Can you blame it on exhaustion?'
I startle as the man behind me steps ahead to give his order
'Wait a second... Did he seriously just cut me in line ?'
I tapped that man shoulder
' Excuse me? I beleive i was in front of you.'
The man turns to face me revealing a surprising striking face. He smirks in amusement. He was tall and muscular,my head barely reaching the top of his wife chest. His dark brown hair was styled neatly with gel yet looked as if he had run his hand through them a couple of time He had a sharp jaw that seemed to be have subtle beard
'Well, to be fair, you looked a little... preoccupied. I'm in a rush and you just abandoned the line completely to have your little side chat.'
"Abandoned the line completely"? I stepped a foot to the side at most. Who do you think you are?
'Karan. Now that we got that covered, I'm going to give my coffee order.'
'Listen, guy you don't want to start shit with me. You are not the only important person with important places to be.'
'oh I'm not that important. But thanks for the compliment.'
I flushed. I hadn't intended to give him a compliment.
' That's not what I meant.'
I glared at him but I guess i rather looked like a angry cat because i saw a small smile on his face
'Not to interrupt this whole back and forth , but you are not yeh only one in line.'
I and that handsome man both turn to look at Massie Aunty No scratch that handsome word please, Only man
'Give me a large double espresso and whatever she's having.'
'You are buying me a coffee? Is that meant to be an apology.'
' It's a thank you actually. It's not everyday a beautiful stranger tells me I'm important.'
'I told you that's not what I meant!'
'So .... Can I buy you a coffee or what?'
'You can't just pay me off to shut me up. I will have my usual thanks'.
He grins in reply . I ignore the swooping sensation in my stomach and turn to give Massie a order.
