Welcome Abroad

"I'm getting pre-show jitters." Rachel expressed pacing for the 5th time across the room. She and Quinn had been practicing and preparing her for her audition the past few days. Watching the young star all shaken up Quinn offered her a seat and a bottle of water.

"Rach take a deep breath; you'll knock their socks off." giving her hand a small squeeze Rachel blushed glad that she had a friend like her. Crossing her legs, she asked if her pitch range was right for the song again. Originally going with Don't Rain on My Parade by the one and only Barbra Streisand she asked Quinn for her input. Suggesting an underrated artist or a song out of her comfort zone. Quinn ensured her that she was going to make it into the Warblers as she pecked her cheek for good luck.

Face flushed they walked to the choir room Quinn holding the door open. Thanking her, Rachel walked inside to be greeted by the awaiting Warblers sitting around the room.

"Welcome Rachel, begin whenever you are ready." Jane stated Dani was on her left side and Quinn took her seat on her right. Closing her eyes, she began to sing Human by Christina Perri in honor of her latest situation that she is learning to handle. From Santana's snarky remarks to Karofsky's slushies, and even Cheerios writing stuff about her on the bathroom stalls. She wasn't going to let the bullies win, not this time. Sensing herself getting emotional she pulled it together for her audition. Making it into the Warblers meant she was able to learn things that the New Directions didn't know of. Besides being able to work alongside Quinn, she was still amazed from her first performance when they met.

Belting out the last chord out to her fullest potential the room immured in claps and cheers. Dani and Quinn wooed her as she thanked them for a chance. Stepping out of the room she bites her thumb beginning to pace again.

'Please, let them approve. Please' she thought to herself, fingers crossed. Hearing the doors swing open Rachel turned around to see Jane with a blank facial expression. Inviting her in, she took a seat on the brown leather couch holding her breath for the news.

"It's been decided." said Jane

"We have voted that-" Dani went on

"You are a welcome member of Dalton's Academy the Warblers. Congratulations Rachel." clapped Quinn smiling proud, Rachel thanking them again before running into her friend's arms for a hug. Receiving a pat on the back from Dani, Jane dismissed the club for the day. Insisting that they celebrate, Quinn treated the three of them to the Lima Bean. Gleeful about that they grabbed their coats and headed out.

Getting their drinks Rachel walked to the back sitting beside Dani as Quinn thanked her by passing her a soy cookie. Nudging the other blonde who was busy smirking at her phone screen, Dani mentioned that Santana said "Hey Hobbit, Lady Hummel misses you." in her recent text. Asking if their relationship status was upgraded from hookup to close friends Dani shrugged saying it was on Santana's terms. She wasn't going to push the girl to come out but she wouldn't deny her feelings for her either. Quinn made a toast to her performance.

"The New Directions better look out, we're going to steal the show with you in the spotlight." flirted Quinn smirking. Giggling Rachel traced her palm asking what their relationship status was.

"It's on your terms, just say the words." Quinn said happily. Watching the two eye fuck in front of her Dani shook her head wishing Santana was there so she wasn't a third wheel.
