Chapter 15 - The hospital

The ride to the hospital was completely silent, everyone lost in their own panicked thoughts. Michael sat in the front while you sat in between Charlie and Sammy with Liz on your lap. Henry sped to the hospital and frantically turned into the parking lot. Luckily there was a spot close to the door.

"Okayokay comon let's go" Henry got out of the car and went to go get Sammy out of his car seat.

"Michael could you get Charlie for me?"

Michael opened the car door and got Charlie out

"What's the red stuff on you mike?" She turned her head to you "and you too?"

"Charlie, come" Henry said, hoping to distract the girl from her questions.

She immediately ran to her dad. You took Liz off your lap and Michael helped her out of the car. He waited for you to crawl out to start walking in.

Henry picked up his kids and led Liz inside, he turned to you two

"Im bringing them in, take your time but keep in mind we don't know his current condition... we don't know how much time"

You both gave a nod in response. You gently put your hand on Michaels upper arm, he looked at you.

"Mikey, I think we should just go in now, I know you don't want to see your dad right now and I know it's hard but what if-" you started to get choked up "-what if by the time we go in he's..." your voice trailed off

"Yeah, okay" he said quickly, tearing up again as well.

You both speed walked into the hospital. The second you walked in, everyone looked up at you guys. Two thirteen year olds splattered with blood, red puffy eyes, messy hair and shaking messes. Definitely not a sight you see too often.

Although you both felt their stares burning into you, neither of you bothered to look back at them, your only focus being to get to the front desk to find out where CC was. The second you got to the desk you heard Henry yelling from down the end of the hallway to your left.

"MIKE! Y/N! HE'S IN HERE!"

You snapped your heads in his direction and took off down the hallway at the same time. Nurses shouted at you guys as you ran. The nurses didn't even get a glance in response to their yelling from either of you. Honestly, you guys barley even heard them. Everything was muffled and you could barley feel your bodies. It all felt like a nightmare.

In a matter of seconds, you reached the room where CC was. Charlie and Sammy were sitting in chairs outside the room. The door was open and William was sitting in the room by the window, reading a newspaper. Liz was also in the room sitting in a chair next to William. Henry stood in the doorway blocking the view of CC. You both stood in front of him panting.

"He was crying..." you thought as you looked at his now watery eyes.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes,

"He is alive right now..." he pulled you and Michael into a tight hug "but they don't think he has much time left, I'm so sorry" he pulled you in even tighter as now you all were silently crying at the news.

After a few moments Henry pulled away

"I'm going to take the kids into the waiting room said sit with them there before they start asking too many questions, alright?"

"Alright" you said.

Henry took a hold of the twins hands and led them away. Now you and Michael could see CC. His head and face were all bandaged up and he was just laying there unconsciously.
