"How the fuck do you know about every party in this damn town Astra" Jake says. It's a chilly Friday afternoon, being that it's nearing the colder months, and you're all sitting at your usual spot in the lunch room. "Don't worry about how she knows, a party is a party man" Jermey says after chugging a coca-Cola can as if he was shotgunning a beer. "Exactly Jermey. I just know. Anywho it's tonight at 11. And, as always, you're all coming- NO EXCUSES! I'll call and give the address later 'cause I just wanna double check I have the right one- oh! And I heard there's a whole lot of  people coming too! This party is gonna be so crazy I literally cannot wait!" Astra squeals.

The school day drags on after lunch, as per usual, especially on a Friday.

In the final class of the day, everybody in the classroom watches the old clock mounted high up on the wall as it ticks closer and closer to the minute the bell will ring. When there's only a couple of seconds left everyone collectively starts to put away their things into their backpacks and begins talking to each other, completely ignoring the teachers desperate attempts to get everyone to quiet down and stay in their seats because "there's still some time left"even though there's really only a few seconds left of the class. Just as the teacher begins to say the classic "The bell doesn't dismiss you, I do" line, the bell rings and everybody rushes out of the door.

You and Michael wait for your group by the front doors like you usually do when you make spontaneous plans during the school to make sure everything is the same and such.

The rest all show up in a matter of minutes, and once the last one of you shows up Astra begins talking. "Okay so, party is still on of course, I'm gonna run home to call a friend to make sure of the address, then I'll call you guys and let you know okay?"

Everyone says their "okays" and all begin to leave the building. Just as you begin to start walking as well, Micheal grabs your shoulder. "Hey" he says leaning down to whisper into your ear. The childish smile on his face is giving away that he is again, up to something. "Yeah?" You respond. "Lets race. Ready? Go!" He says laughing and taking off without giving you a second to prepare. "WAIT! MIKE-" you giggle, taking off after him. "NO FAIR!!" You call after him. Micheal makes his way through the crowds of people and the groups of guys and girls fast and smooth; mostly because they move out of his way for him given his reputation, but not so much you. You have to dodge and run around people, ultimately slowing you down. And even if Micheal can pretty much go right through people, he's pretty fast just by nature, so that is not helping whatsoever.

You can hear his small laughs and giggles from in front of you as he runs. He checks behind him every so often just to make sure you're still behind him or that you didn't magically get in front of him, his hair bouncing in the process.

The moment takes the both of you back to your childhood days, when you would race all the time. Before school, after school, hangouts, it didn't matter when or where it happened, all you two knew was that it was fun and that you wanted to win- to declare yourself the fastest out of the two of you- of course.

They would result in little arguments of "No I won" and "No you didn't I did" but those always ended in giggles and sometimes more races until your legs would be burning and you both would be gasping for air.

It doesn't take long for him to disappear from out of your sight and you're left dodging people left and right: practically tripping over your own feet to catch up.
