Glorifrir's view

When I was growing up I did not suffer from Qi burning. In fact, I had only heard of it in passing and that it was a chance that I could get it. I did not put much store by it so I forgot. I was more interested in the running of the Dwarven kingdom and expanding our domains influence.

I was in my 40s when people started telling me that I must start looking for a wife to spend my life with but I kept laughing them off. I originally started getting marriage proposals from the girls themselves, to which I would politely reply and refuse them. I really was not interested.

One day a different sort of letter arrived, I still remember reading it.

"Dear Glorifrir,

I am writing this as I know people are hounding you to marry. I do not think just any girl could suit you our prince, so it is with great pride that I can refer this girl for you to check out.

Her name is DebraLee Au Ruairc. She is the daughter of King Tighearnan in Ireland. She has shown great aptitude for work and has been helping us dwarves mend the damaged bit of the keep that her father tasked her to mend.

She has been working between the labourer guild, the mortar guild and stonemason guild, that I know of, probably more as I have seen her over by the forges too. The reason she is between so many guilds is because she has been working us out of our own jobs.

She is rather pretty too as far as human women go.

I hope you consider her,

Fecca the labourer"

It was not just her that sent me letters, everyone who had worked with her had. After so many letters, I decided I would see this Princess that they were begging me to consider marrying, so I went to the human world and went as an emissary to King Tighearnan. My first attempt was insulting, so my people said to ask DebraLee for a room.

I had her brought to me and when I met her I was captivated. I wanted what my people wanted for myself so I followed her to the room she gave me and then first thing in the morning I went before King Tighearnan and asked for her hand in marriage.

There were 5 of us there wanting the same thing. King Tighearnan bought out his other daughters and none of us wanted them - they looked entirely too self entitled. The king at this point was looking decidedly worried but he said that he had one more daughter, if it was not her then we could not do business.

She arrived then and all of us said, "That's the Princess I want to marry". We all felt rather worried at this point. I was thankful I had not left it any longer or I would not have had a chance at all, judging by the quality of suitor before the king.

"What!" Bellowed her Father, looking flustered by the situation he found himself in, "I am sorry, but only one of you can!"

Caspian spoke out then, preventing any fights from occurring as a result, "I disagree - you failed to take into account her Goddesses law."

"What did you say?" everyone asked at once, curious as to how he came up with this.

"You fail, to take into account her Goddesses law." He repeated.

"What do you mean by that?" Tighearnàn au Ruairc asked. It looked like he suddenly remembered a certain Goddess he had little to do with, as he was Catholic, turned white and muttered "surely not her!... Who did you choose to serve DebraLee?"

DebraLee looked confused as to why it matters who she served but answered "I chose to serve the Goddess Aine."

The looks of worry on the faces of all the princes vanished, except for the human prince - his face looked frustrated, but as for the rest, our faces turned to smiles.
