Taehyung just loved cradling his baby girl in his arms

She was so beautiful; a warm and cuddly little creature. Seong, especially, was a happy baby, who didn't cry often and preferred to remain quiet and observational. She liked looking around at people and other things with her big, beautiful eyes

The girl was now 5 months old, and since Jennie was so big on reading about the baby's development week by week, she had learned of what Seong's next advancement would be, and it made her nervous

"Stranger anxiety" Jennie had told Taehyung

"Huh?" Taehyung gave Jennie a confused look "What's that?"

"It's one of the first major emotional milestones for a baby" Jennie explained "It shows up during the fifth month of life but it's not exactly a positive one"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, according to the baby book, stranger anxiety means that she may become uncomfortable around people she doesn't know" Jennie sighed "It creates a sense of anxiety. If a stranger comes near her too suddenly, she may start to cry and become extremely nervous"

"So....like when she was born?" Taehyung raised an eyebrow

"I guess you can say that" Jennie shrugged "But that only lasted for the first 24 hours. Did you notice that? Ever since then, Seong has been perfectly content with people"

"Yeah, you're right" Taehyung nodded

"That could change now, though" Jennie bit her lip "We'll have to be careful. I don't want her to feel anxious. Stress can't be good for such a tiny baby"

"Agreed"

"Although, the book did say it's good to get her used to socializing..." Jennje tapped her head. Groaning, she slumped her shoulders and muttered "Why doesn't that stupid book make up its mind?"

"I'm sure we'll figure it out" Taehyung chuckled "This isn't our first baby, after all!"

"Yes but every baby is different"

"We'll be just fine" Taehyung assured "I feel it with this one. Seong is a good baby and I don't think she's gonna ' change too much anytime soon"

Taehyung had been right, so far. Seong was just as happy as she'd always been, save for the first 24 hours of her life when she'd been exceptionally cranky. He had heard horror stories of how, around the age of 5 months old, many babies began to reject their fathers for a period of time, and much preferred to be with their mothers. They would scream and cry just at the sight of their Dad, and it discouraged many fathers

Taehyung knew if that happened to him, his heart would break. He just loved his baby too much to stay away from her. And maybe that was what was saving him from that seemingly horrible fate

Seong was just fine in Taehyung's presence. In fact, she seemed perfectly happy. Taehyung knew that it could change in a heartbeat; babies were very fickle. But for now, Seong was a cheerful little girl when she was with him, so Taehyung wasn't going to question it

The family was currently taking a vacation in the Hokkaido. Jennie, who had been a bit more irritable than usual since she was only five months removed from giving birth, had finally had enough of the cold weather, and demanded to go somewhere warm where she could go swimming outdoors and wear shorts all day. It was Seong's first big vacation, so Taehyung was busy showing her around the city while Jennie went swimming with the twins back at the hotel

"You're cute" Taehyung informed the baby, tickling her stomach. The baby squeaked and cooed, wiggling her legs in the air. Her bright brown eyes were wide open, pink lips forming an undeniable smile as she giggled happily

Taehyung's stomach suddenly growled, loudly enough to catch Seong's attention. The baby squeaked and looked around curiously, wondering where in the world that sound could've come from

"Oh, sorry" Taehyung laughed "I guess I'm a little hungry. Hmm, I think there's a restaurant up there. I could get some lunch! I bet my sprinkle is hungry too. Aren't you, baby girl?"

Seong babbled and reached up with one hand. Smiling, Taehyung offered his index finger to the baby, who shrieked and happily took the finger into her grasp. He raised her closer to his face and kissed her on the forehead, leading the baby to let out some happy noises

Taehyung stepped into the restaurant, the place was small, warm and cozy further more its not crowded only 4 or 5 people were inside. Walking over to the counter and waiting for the manager to notice him. She seemed to be doing something, and Taehyung didn't want to interrupt her. Ultimately, the girl turned around and caught sight of Taehyung, gasping as she did so
