Game 3: Hide and Seek Part 2

As the giant robot came out of the big shutter, the floor started to shake quite a bit because of the size of the robot. It had bright red eyes and its body was exactly how I imagined it. Instead of feet it had robot rollers that could crush anything. I stood and hid quietly.

      I was sweating a bit to be honest with you, I mean who wouldnt? The robot started going to the block fortress where Pro and Areku were hiding. It made weird robot noises while its chopping arms kept breaking the fortress apart and crushing over the fallen blocks, its arms could only move up and down though. 30 seconds later, it was done crushing the blocks and started to head towards Pro and Areku.

       I was worried of course, I saw Areku climbing down the blocks, it was a smart choice for him to do. It broke apart and crushed the blocks in front of them, it took the robot about 10 seconds to do so, we only had 1 minute and 20 seconds left. Time was going so slow for us.

      The robot had reached them and I was able to see Pro hiding behind one of the cylinder blocks, Areku was at the bottom hiding behind one of the cylinder blocks as well. Areku realized that the robot was going to chop down the block he was hiding behind. He came to view for the robot and it started to go after him.

     "Come on now you damn robot!" Areku yelled as a square block fell down from one of the cylinder blocks near the robot. Areku had guts thats for sure. He began to run as fast as he could but the robot changed its direction to where Pro was instead. It seems that the robot had seen him hiding. Since there were a few blocks that the robot knocked down it had to crush those first before it got to Pro. 20 seconds had passed, only 1 minute left.

      Pro ran to where Areku was, he stood in confusion about why the robot went to his direction. They both ran toward the middle. The robot stood there and started to shake weirdly.

      "What's going on with that freaky thing?" Ayoi asked.

      "I don't know but I don't like it." I replied.

       The robot turned it's self towards them and started to speed up. Me and Ayoi stood there in shock, that thing was going at a surprising speed for its size.

        "What the fuck! That thing is faster now! What should we do Koku!?" Ayoi asked demandingly. I didn't want my friend to die, I just met Areku so I didn't care much about him but he was still important because he had information that could help us escape from this hell. Pro was important to me, we didn't talk as much before but I knew I couldn't let a friend die.

       "Areku, that thing is chasing us at an incredible speed, any ideas?" Pro asked.

       "Hey Pro, I noticed something when it went toward you instead of me." Areku replied.

       I was thinking really hard on what to do to save those two. I realized something about when the robot stopped going after Areku. It was as if it got distracted, that was it...distracted.

     Many thoughts flew into my mind but I realized that the robot didn't see Pro, it had a motion sensor. I suddenly remembered the block that fell down near the robot while it was going after Areku, the robot must've detected its motion.

                Yeah, no doubt about it.

        It seemed that Areku had also realized it because he started running towards us.

       "Hey Areku! Go back now! You're going to get us killed!" Ayoi demanded.

       "I am sorry but Pro will be a distraction." Areku replied.

       "Areku...are you thinking the same thing I am?" I asked.

       "Have you realized it too? That thing is easily distracted by anything that moves slightly an inch." Areku replied.

       "I see, so you're using Pro as one distraction and then use one of us as a second?" Shadow assumed.

       "Look Koku, you will go out there and run alongside Pro but you will both have to run oppositely from each other once it captures your motion." Areku explained. "That way the robot will get confused and delay itself a little, giving us enough time to prepare."

      "I will climb up this block tower, knock one of the blocks down when the robot is diverted closely towards us. Shadow and Ayoi, you two will run towards the exit as fast as you can once I give the signal." Areku kept explaining his plan.

      "Very well then, we will bring that weird ass robot down." I exclaimed.

      I started to run towards Pro, the robot captured my motion, I looked to where the others were and saw Areku climbing up the block tower, I explained the plan to Pro, he understood. We had 28 seconds left. The robot got even faster.

      "Oh shit, Koku are you sure this will work in time?" Pro asked a bit worried.

      "It has to no matter what, start running to the right but stay a bit closer to him, risk your life, I will run towards the left closer to him as well." I explained. "We need to confuse it and delay it to give the others enough time."

      "Alright, I trust you Koku." Pro said.

      We proceeded with the plan. The robot was confused as me and Pro were messing with its sensor. The robot began to go slower, just as planned. I looked towards the others, they were ready. Pro also knew it was time to divert the robot towards them. I ran further out as Pro stayed close to the robot to divert it. It started to get closer to them, regaining its speed. We waited until it got in perfect range.

      "Do it now Areku!" I yelled.

      Areku pushed a triangle block that was in front of him and it fell down to the floor. The robot immediately turned itself towards the block. The robot started to speed up more and more.

      As soon as it began to crush the triangle block, Shadow and Ayoi ran towards the exit shutter at full speed, so did Pro as the robot lost its focus on him. Areku climbed down without the robot seeing him. Our plan worked, the whole point was to use the block as a decoy to delay the robot even longer so we could run far from it. Also most importantly to let time run out as much as possible. 12 seconds left. Yeah, we had won....or did we.

       When the robot finished crushing the block in its way, Shadow, Ayoi and Pro were already at the exit shutter. I decided to wait for Areku instead of running to the exit shutter. The robot knocked down the block tower but it didn't crush the fallen blocks. Areku catched up to me and suddenly the robot immediately turned towards us and began to go after me and Areku. But this time it was even faster. Much faster.

"Why didn't it crush the other blocks!?" I wondered desperately. But it was no time to be shocked or confused, we both began to run at full speed towards the exit shutter.

       "KOKU! AREKU!" cried out Pro.

       We only had 8 seconds left...no 4 seconds now. "Yea this is how it ends, we were so close but they can at least survive..." I thought to myself. I grabbed and threw Areku further towards the exit shutter.

        "Forget about me guys! Go on, escape and defeat Mr. Sunny!" I yelled. The second I turned around to accept my crushing fate. The timer began to loudly beep. The robot was right in front of me only centimeters away from crushing me. It was frozen in place, it suddenly shut down and began to shake uncontrollably.

       "Koku!! Get out of there!" Ayoi cried out.

       I was tired but I had no choice, I pounced and threw myself as far as I could from the robot.

                             BOOOOM

        The robot exploded into pieces, the blast sent me flying towards the others. The exit shutter opened, waiting for us to go through after I almost died once again.
