General POV
Remus she spent a good amount of time thinking about Sirius during the day. It had become a daily thing that annoyed Remus. It wasn't that he didn't like thinking about Sirius, it was the thought that came after. Lila. God he hated her. She obviously just wanted him for his looks and popularity, even though Sirius couldn't see that. Anyone else who wasn't hot, she was a bitch to.
As Sirius made his way down to the common room with James, Remus looked up from his book.
"Bloody hell Moony, do you ever stop reading?" James asked teasingly.
"I don't know do you ever stop being a prick?" Remus fired back, chuckling slightly. Sirius kind of just stood there awkwardly. Things had been a bit tense between the two after what happened with Lila.
"I'm gonna go get ready for my date." Sirius declared, walking to the dormitories. James nodded and Remus just looked back at his book, his jaw slightly clenched.
Sirius put on a black button-up and unbottoned the first few so part of his chest was showing. He put on dark jeans, a chain necklace, and went to go fix his hair. After about 15 minutes of trying to get his hair perfect, he shrugged on his leather jacket and made his way to Hogsmeade.
He stepped out on the pavement and walked to The Three Broomsticks, where Lila asked to meet. He passed Honeydukes where their new chocolate was displayed and he couldn't help but think of chocolate-loving friend. He was going on a date and yet he still couldn't get Remus out of his head.
He pushed the thought to the back of his head, eventually to make its way back to his conscious thoughts, but for now was ignored. He pulled open the door and walked around to try and find Lila. He walked around a bit and ordered two butter beers. He felt a bit lame, sitting around just waiting for his date.
15 minutes later he decided she wasn't coming and angrily made his way back to the castle. He passed the black lake where he saw two figures sucking each other faces off. He peered around the tree and saw Lila and some other guy. Honestly, he didn't really care, he was gay and didn't care much for Lila, but he didn't like being stood up. He ran back to his dormitory, past James and Peter, who were asking how to the date went.
He slipped down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. Was everyone just using him for his looks? I mean yea, it's nice to be attractive, but not when that's the only thing people date you for. Every single person he's ever been with or went on a date with has shown no interest in him when he made conversation.
A tear trickled down Sirius' cheek. He didn't bother to wipe it off, although he did think it was stupid to be crying because of something this stupid.
"Padfoot? Are you okay?" He heard someone ask. He looked up and sniffled to see Remus coming out of the bathroom, his hair wet.
"I... didn't know you were here." Sirius commented sitting up to rest his head on the wall. Remus walked over and sat by Sirius.
"Are you okay?" He asked again. Sirius looked at him with a sad face. Remus wrapped his arms around Sirius' shoulders and tucked Sirius' head into his chest.
"She stood me up. No one actually likes me for who I am. They all think I'm just a stupid guy who happens to look half decent." Sirius sniffled as Remus rested his chin on the top of Sirius' head.
"No, you're an amazing guy who anyone would be so lucky to have and I'm lucky to have you in my life and so is James and Peter. If they can't see all the beauty you have in the inside, they're missing out on a load full of amazingness," Remus said comfortingly, pulling away from the hug and cupping Sirius' face with his hand. "You are so much more than just good looks."
Sirius gave Remus a small smile and his eyes flashed down to Remus' lips, not going unnoticed by Remus.
"Can I kiss you?" Remus abruptly asked Sirius. Remus didn't get a chance to regret what he said before he felt Sirius' warm lips against his own. Their lips moved in sync, a kiss that showed each other all the secret feelings they had been hiding the past months. Sirius smiled into the kiss and slowly pulled away.
"What the fuck just happened." Sirius laughed.
"Not a clue." Remus replied with a smile engraved on his face. They laid down and were wrapped in each other's arms.
"If you couldn't tell, I really like you, ever since I met you. When I was drawing you at the lake." Sirius muttered into Remus' chest.
"That's was me you were drawing?" Remus questioned and Sirius hummed in confirmation. "Can I see?"
"After this fucking nap I'm really tired Remmy." Sirius replied with a yawn and yawned.
"You can't already be tired, you can't end your Valentines Day with being stood up." Remus said.
"You're making me feel so much better." Sirius mumbled back sarcastically. Remus chuckled and lifted Sirius' chin so he would look at him.
"Let's go out for a butterbeer." Remus suggested and Sirius grinned.
"Is the one and only Remus Lupin asking me out? I always thought it would be the other way around." Sirius said dramatically. Remus rolled his eyes with a smiled and tugged Sirius' arm to walk to Hogsmeade.
As they made their way to Hogsmeade they couldn't take the smiles off their faces. Soon after they sat down a lady came up to them to ask for their order.
"So, when did you realize your feeling for me?" Sirius asked as Remus furiously blushed.
"Oh, um... when you opened up to me about your family that night. Which feels like forever ago." Remus added.
"I know right, it's so weird how fast time moves." Sirius chuckled.
"How about you?" Remus questioned as the waiter gave them their drinks and he took a small sip.
"Hmm?"
"When did you first start liking me?" Remus repeated.
"Well, from when I first saw you I thought you were gorgeous," which Remus blushed at and looked down to avoid Sirius seeing. "But I started liking you, for your personality that same night. I realized you were such an amazing person and that you would always be there for me."
Remus smiled and Sirius as they finished their butterbeers. Sirius took Remus' arm and pulled him out, after paying, and brought him to the black lake.
"Padfoot, it's f-freezing out h-here." Remus shivered. Night time at Hogwarts always seemed to be 20 degrees lower than in the day.
"Here." Sirius said shrugging off his jacket from his shoulders as they sat down.
"But now you'll be cold." Remus replied as he held the jacket out.
"I'm fine. I'm pretty sure I'm immune to coldness anyways." Sirius replied and Remus out on the jacket and laid his head on Sirius lap. They laid there in a comfortable silence, as Sirius played with Remus' hair and they both look up at the starry night sky.
