Chapter 2

"Crucio!" My mother screamed at me. Her wand
wand laid delicately on her palm, pointed at me.
My bones felt as if they were breaking into a
million pieces over and over until they were just
dust. My legs gave out under me. I wanted to give
out an agonizing scream, but I didn't want to
show her my pain so I bit my tonque.

Showing weakness give her the satisfaction she
craved from me. In the corner of my eye I could
see Regulus, a horrified look on his small face.
Soon, tears flooded my eyes and I was forced to
close them. It felt like it lasted forever.

"You filthy blood traitor, hanging around with the
David's when you know they're mudbloods!" She
screamed. "You are no son of mi-" I could barely
hear any sound. The pain was too deafening to
have any sound transfer to my ears other than
mutters.

"Sirius!" An unclear voice yelled. "Sirius!" It yelled
again. "Sirius!!"

I woke up in a cold sweat, someone standing over
me. Remus was standing over me with a confused
and concerned face.

I scrambled to my feet and ran out the doorway to sit on the common room couch. I opened the windows to let the cold breeze sweep in.

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, but I kept
my head in my tucked up legs.

"Sirius?" I heard Remus ask. I didn't turn around,
but stayed silent. "Are you okay?"

I lifted my head to look at his concerned eyes. Why
couldn't my family look at me like that? Why didn't
they care about me? Was I not good enough? I let a
tear slip and buried my head back in my legs.

Remus sat down and pulled me into a hug. I let go
on my tucked legs and sobbed into his shoulder.

"What happened?" He asked but I just sobbed
louder into his shoulder. I hated showing my emotions, but I felt like I could trust Remus. So I told him everything. About my family at least. How they tortured me, locked me in my room for days
without food, and everything else I had been
holding in. I kept the part where I ran away from
home to myself.

He kind of just sat there in shock as I wiped my
tears with my oversized black graphic sweater. He
wrapped his arms around me and tucked my head
into his chest. I hugged back this time instead of
just sitting there. He rubbed my back and I sniffled.
After a few minutes we pulled away and I looked up
at him. He smiled lightly and patted my head. I
looked back up at him with a playful glare.

"You're so tiny." He said cockily and he continued
to pat my head. I swatted away his hand and he
laughed lightly.

"You're only an inch taller than me Remus." I
stated.

He chuckled and wrapped one arm around me as
we looked at the fire while he cracked jokes, trying
to cheer me up. I have to admit, he's really sweet
and cute.

Just to put it out there, I'm gay. I figured that out
after I realized that the reason I didn't feel anything
after my one night stands with all those girls wasn't
because I there were 'no feelings attached' it was
because I wasn't attracted to them in general.

After a while of Remus yawning through his jokes,
my eyelids slowly fell and I started to drift into
sleep, tucked into Remus' side.

Remus' POV

I woke up to a gasp. I opened my eyes, shielding
them from the blinding light that shone through
the window. I looked over to see James staring at
me and Sirius. I looked over at Sirius to see him
curled up in a ball tucked into my side.

I smiled at the sight. At first I thought he was a pest
and would be a bad influence on our group, but
yesterday I realized he's just as broken as me. He
should be treated better than his family treats him.

"Yesterday you could barely look at him! What
happened?" He practically yelled. I quickly shushed
him and pulled Sirius closer to me.

"We just... talked." I replied stopping myself from spilling any of Sirius' secrets.

James raised his eyebrows and looked between me and Sirius. I blushed and looked down at Sirius' face to avoid James seeing me blush.

"You're blushing." Sirius said, who had one eye
slightly opened with a smirk. I blushed a deeper
shade of red and crossed my arms. He laid his head
on my lap and sighed. "I'm going to sleep." He
stated.

"Siri, we have school-" James responded and my
eyes widened.

"I'm gonna be late for my first class!" I practically
shrieked and stood up abruptly and ran up to my
dormitory to get ready, knocking Sirius to the
ground. "Sorry Sirius!!" I hollered from the top of
the dormitory stairs. I heard him laugh and James
and Sirius went upstairs too.

I quickly changed into my clothes in the bathroom
and back out to our dormitory. And of course,
Sirius had to be standing there, his shirt halfway
off, his toned abs showing and I swear I got hard on
the spot.

I turned around abruptly and ran back to the
bathroom, except crashing into the door and falling
on my back. I heard Sirius laugh and stared down
at me, his face upside down at my angle. I blushed as he looked down at me, still not wearing a fucking
shirt.

"Put on a fucking shirt Sirius." I mumbled through
my hands to hide my face. He chuckled and walked
off to find a shirt. I quickly got up put on my satchel to walk to Transfiguration with James and Sirius. I haven't seen Peter since yesterday morning.... where is he?

I ran to McGonagall's class and sat down. Sirius
came in a few minutes later, late, of course.

"Late once again Mr. Black." McGonagall said
curtly, turning around. Sirius grinned.

"Sorry Minnie, I really am." He said, obviously
lying it was more like a joke. She rolled her eyes, but I could see a slight hint of a smile on her face.

"Sit down Mr. Black." She replied and turned back
to the class. He walked over to me and sat down.

"Hey Remmy." He greeted. I looked at him with an
eyebrow raised.

"Remmy? Really? That's the best you can do?" I
asked and he grinned.

"It's cute-" he started but got cut off.

"I suggest you stop talking Mr. Black unless you
want detention." Professor McGonagall stated.

"Sorry Minne I was just trying to say something to
Remmy here." He replied with a bright smile as I
put my face in my hands out of embarrassment.
