Chapter 9

Lily's POV

I rushed back to Sirius and Lila who were sucking each other's faces off. I ran up to Sirius and took a handful of his hair and pulled it backwards separating him from Lila, and shoving the bezoar down his throat.

His eyes became more focused as he jumped off of the love seat he was sitting on with Lila.

"Where's Remus?" He practically screeched, frantically running around the empty common room.

"Yea look around the common room, maybe he's in one of the couch cushions," I reply sarcastically. After a long glare from him, I raised my hands in mock defeat. "Dormitory bathroom."

He rushed up there and slammed the door, shouting his name.

Sirius' POV

"Remus? Remus!" I yelled and ran to the bathroom to see him curled in a ball, shaking slightly as quiet sobs fell out of his mouth. "Rem? I'm so sor-"

"Leave me alone Sirius." He cut me off.

"No, just let me explain." I replied and sat down next to him. He turned around so his back would face me.
"I walked to the bar which Lila was running, right?"

I got no reply except for a slight nod.

"When she gave me my drink, it had a love potion or something in it. I promise I would never do anything like that. I love you and only you I promise." I said quickly and he raised his head slightly and turned around to face me. His red, puffy eyes made my heart break inside and I couldn't help but rush up to hug him.

He tucked his head into my shoulder, but kept his arms wrapped around his knees.

"I am so sorry." I muttered into his hair, kissing the top of his head. He looked up at me with a slight smile.

"It's okay. But if you ever do that again, I'll release Lily on you." He said with a chuckle. I laughed and kiss him quickly before hoisting him up.

"I'm so sorry, I'll promise I'll make it up to you." I said and cupped his cheeks, wiping away his tears with my thumb. He nodded and I grabbed his hand and lead him out of the bathroom.

"Let's go to sleep. Its been a long day." I sighed and he nodded with a quiet laugh as we got changed and lifted he covers, slipping into my warm covers. Remus wrapped his arms around my torso and I snuggled into his chest, which was slowly decreasing its breath rate, to where it got to a sleep-like state. I smiled softly at the soft snored escaping Remus' mouth and closed my eyes to try and do the same.

•Time skip•

They woke up to soft whispers from James and Peter. Sirius sat up and looked at them, moving Remus slightly, waking him up. He moved to get up and walked over to James and Peter. Even though Sirius explained the situation with Lila to him, Remus is still a bit bitter about it.

Sirius sighed and threw his legs off the bed and joined the other boys. They walked to breakfast in silence, and sat down, Sirius next to Remus and Peter and James across from them.

"What are your guys' plans for today?" James asked, annoyed with the awkward silence.

"A girl from Hufflepuff asked me out on a study date." Peter said, which was replied to with a Pat on the back from James and Sirius.

"Studying." Remus said shortly. James nodded and continued on with his plans.

"Lily said she would allow me to take her on a date, which I should really be getting to about now. Wish me luck lads!" He said while putting on his jacket. A few minutes later, Peter went on his study date, leaving Remus and Sirius alone.
