Chapter 3

Remus' POV

The full moon was tonight and I couldn't sleep. Of
course James and Peter knew but Sirius didn't.
Him and I had just become friends and I don't
want to ruin that with my 'furry little problem' as
James put it.

James and Peter became Animigus in 3rd year after
they found out that I was a werewolf, so every full
moon we will have to make up a lame excuse to
sneak out the dormitory so Sirius wouldn't be
suspicious.

Over the week we grew closer and he's quite the
character. He's funny and badass and crazy and
really fucking hot. Of course I would never admit
that, it would be super weird, especially since I just
became friends with him a week ago.

I was walking to Madam Pomfrey so she could
escort me to the Whomping Willow for my
transformation since she didn't know that James
and Peter would be there since they were
unregistered Animigus.

"Madam Pomfrey?" I called, stepping into the
hospital wing.

"How many times do I have to ask you to call me
Poppy, Remus dear," she came waking over to me
with her arms out to give me a quick hug. "I'm all
ready when you are." She said. I smiled and
nodded. She's always had a soft spot for me after I
got to know her better on our walks to the
Whomping Willow.

We started walking to the tree when I heard a bush
shake. Poppy couldn't hear it because she she
didn't have werewolf senses. My hearing was
heightened by a lot when the full moon was near. I
looked over to the bush to see a shaggy black dog
looking at me with its head tilted. I copied its
action before Poppy started talking again.
Something about that dog looked familiar in it's
eyes.

"Go ahead Mr. Lupin."she said, gesturing towards
the opening in the tree after she hit the knot with a
long branch. I headed inside the Shrieking Shack
and waited for Peter to hit the button in his rat
form so James and him could come in.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw the moon coming
out from a cloud. My back felt as if it was breaking
as my arms and legs grew hair all over. My clothing
ripped and I shrugged it off my shoulders. Claws
started to grow from my once clipped nails.

Sirius' POV

Remus, James and Peter made up a shit excuse to
leave the dormitory so I followed them in my dog
form. I had become a Animigus at about 13 so I
could sneak out of my house after a beating and get
fresh air and eat something if they tried to starve
me. It was hard to escape and come back into my
room but it worked almost every time and they
never caught me.

I walked outside, following James to the
Whomping Willow that stood unmoving, Remus
and Madam Pomfrey standing in front of it as
Remus made his way in, after intensely staring at
me.

He made his way in the Whomping Willow while
Madam Pomfrey went back to the school. After she
had fully left, I went to investigate. I grabbed a long
branch and hit the same knot she did and made my
way into the tunnel. I cracked a look at the now
standing werewolf where Remus would've stood.

At first I freaked out, thinking that he had been eaten or something but then it came into my mind that the creature that stood in front of me, may have been the same person that I have grown so fond of over the past few days.

That's explains the scars, the tiredness this week,
and the heightened senses. Once he was fully
transformed, I made my way in, since for some
reason I remember and assignment on werewolves
that said werewolves are only dangerous to
humans, unlike me, who was an unregistered
Animigus, so of course he would be no threat to
me.

He stared at me the same way he did when he was
in his human form before he started growling. It'll
take a while for him to get used to me. I slowly
made my way over and sat so he could look at me,
and recognize I was no threat to him. We started
playing and dog fighting before a stag and rat
walked through the tunnel. They stared at me with
a confused face before coming to play with us.

After a few hours, Remus fell asleep after he had
turned back. This left James and Peter to intensely
stare at me while I just nestled my head into the
Remus' sleeping state.

"We know it's you Sirius." I heard a voice say. I
turned around to see James and Peter in the spot of
the rat and stag. I turned back into my human
form.

"How'd you figure it out?" I said, I slight smile
tugging at my lips.

"It was obvious when you were cuddling up to
Remus." Peter laughed. I blushed furiously and
covered my face with my hands.

"Madam Pomfrey will be coming up soon, we
should probably go." James said and we started
making our way back outside in our Animigus
forms.

Once we got back to the dormitory I explained why
I was an Animigus and how I got to Remus
yesterday night. We went to sleep, even if it was
only for about an hour. I woke up soon after, before
James and Peter, so I made my way down to the
hospital wing to check on Remus.

"Hey." I greeted Remus as I made my way into the
hospital wing.

"Sirius?" He asked as I walked closer to him and sat by his bed. He has a large scar from his shoulder to his elbow, I assume Madam Pomfrey cleaned up the blood.

"Oh my god, Remus," I exclaimed as I reached for
his arm. I carefully inspected it, making sure not to
hurt him. He winced slightly and I let his arm drop.
"Sorry. Are you okay?" I asked and he nodded.

"I'm fine. Thanks for playing with me last night."
He replied and chuckled.

"You knew it was me?" I asked, surprised that he
could tell it was me.

"I could tell it was you when Madam Pomfrey was
walking me to the Whomping Willow. And why else
would you be here so early in the morning?" He
asked. Obviously rhetorical.

"Mm." I hummed in reply. "Go to sleep. You need rest after the transformation."

"Okay mom." He teased and I rolled my eyes while
ruffling his hair. He opened the covers slightly. "Can you stay? I can never sleep after a full moon."
He asked and I hesitantly got it next to him. After
all, I was in his debt after he comforted me from
my nightmare.

I wrapped my arms around him slightly as he
stuffed his face in my fuzzy sweater. I soon heard
soft snored coming from his slightly opened mouth.
I smiled and rested my head on his and went to sleep.
