Just as Bucky had said, when he returned, they immediately boarded a jet. Just the two of them. He had a small bag and hers was also small but slightly larger than his. Before they had left, Clint had held her tightly for dear life kissing her forehead right at her hairline. He was scared, she could tell, but no one seemed to want to talk about it, only hug her tightly and tell her they'd see her soon. So it was no surprise that for most of the flight, she and Bucky were silent. That is, until they were approaching their destination. Bucky brought the jet in really low, close to the mountainous terrain, barely clearing the hills. Turning to him nervously, he was smiling slightly, enjoying making her nervous.
"Relax and just trust me." He said putting his hand on hers holding the copilot controls.
"I do trust you." She replied, turning her hand to squeeze his.
He took his hand back, grabbing the control again and Cara looked at the hill they were rapidly approaching.
"Good because even Sam squealed."
Cara braced herself, not sure what to expect. Wincing slightly at what should have been an impact. When nothing happened she opened her eyes gasping lightly at what she saw before her. right in the middle of the valley was an advanced city, ships flying to and from locations, and everything was lit up like a shining jewel against the night sky. The city was beautiful. Though she was confused about where they were or how this was possible, she couldn't help but be amazed. Two ships came out to flank them, escorting them to the landing pad at what clearly was a palace, sitting at the center of the city. Bucky explained briefly to her to just follow his lead and be respectful, he would fill her in more later. The rear door opened and they walked down the ramp together, toward a number of people waiting for them. They approached three people standing at center, flanked on either side by warrior women in red holding spears. Once they got closer, the three people in the middle approached them, one man, and two women, one of them was also one of the warrior women though aspects of her uniform were different than the others. Bucky nodded and the man reached his hand out, Bucky taking it and they shook hands smiling.
"Welcome to Wakanda. Bucky, my friend, it is good to see you again."
"Its good to see you too. Thank you for helping us out on such short notice." Bucky said looking over at Cara.
The man looked at Cara extending his hand to her. She reached out and shook it nodding slightly.
"You must be Cara, Clint Barton's sister. I am King T'Challa of Wakanda. I know your brother very well. I also knew Captain Rogers very well and was saddened by the news of his death. I want to extend my condolences to you personally. I understand you two were in love."
Cara blushed, also feeling the sadness behind her eyes, but remained strong, face only falling slightly.
"Its an honor to meet you and I thank you for your kindness. Yes, Steve and I were in love and his loss was devastating. But we go on in his honor right."
T'Challa smiled at her, "Yes we do. you honor him greatly. You my dear, are most impressive."
Cara looked confused at how he may know this information. Bucky just smiled, enjoying her first experiences here. He remembered when he first saw Wakanda, the same amazement in his eyes that she had in hers now. The girl with beautifully braided buns laughed stepping forward also shaking Cara's hand.
"We know all about you, Trickshot. You're definitely more impressive than your brother is. It' is stupid he held you back for so long. I mean look what we have been missing out on for years."
Cara smiled broadly, "I like her, she's definitely highly intelligent."
T'Challa gave her a scolding look before turning back to look at Cara.
