"Soyo... What is this?" Kagura was familiar with it, Soyo was showing them a manga with a cover that looks like a normal shoujo manga, but with an 18+ sign on the upper right corner of the cover. Kagura would always saw pass this manga in a convenience store she goes to, whenever she buys jump for Gintoki, (well sometimes), but she never bothered to check even one of them. She would sometimes see some people hiding it under their shirt and then paying them after they reached the cashier. "This is a romance manga. This is one of my favorites", Soyo cheerfully opened the manga, "I like these types of shoujo mangas since it is very realistic and romantic". Soyo moved the manga towards Kagura and Nobume on the table, "try and read it!".

On the first page, Soyo was pointing at the main character, "This is Noriko, she is the main character of the manga", Kagura and Nobume looked at the main character closely, a short-haired female character bumping into a stranger, how cliche. " ha! This is the male lead character! Noriko's childhood best friend", "hm, it is quite interesting. Childhood friends meeting each other after a long time" Nobume said with an emotionless face, "right?" Soyo replied.

"They're drunk already?" Kagura said, "after the bar, where are they heading to next?" Nobume asked, "you'll see," soyo said, smiling while flipping to the next page. "Since the girl is super drunk and the guy doesn't know where she lives, he carried her to his house instead? Isn't that kidnapping." Kagura commented, "no-no, it's okay since they're friends" soyo smiled.

"Noriko's confessing!" Soyo told them, "On the bed?" Nobume commented, "Being drunk is startling, isn't it?" Soyo told Nobume and Kagura. Three of them had never drink alcohol before, even when they are already adults, they were still uncomfortable with it. "Why is the girl undressing the guy, is she going to peel his skin for revenge?", Nobume asked, "nope! Just see", Soyo gleamed.

When soyo flipped the next page, Kagura and Nobume saw a picture they weren't expecting, "WHAT IS SHE DOING?!?", Kagura was shocked "What is this??", "they're stripping" Soyo told them calmly, "let's go to the next page! This is getting exciting", Soyo flipped to the next page for only Kagura and Nobume to see an inappropriate image. Both of the girls' eyes widened and blushed awfully, " is he..... K-kissing her b-breast? What is he doing with his-" Kagura stuttered, "is he a cannibal?" Nobume asked with a pale voice, Soyo just blushed and smiled out of excitement. After flipping the next page without warning, Kagura and Nobume's innocence for lust were shattered, "W-W-W-W-WHY IS HE KISSING HER UNDER THAT PART?!" Kagura was confused and red, same with Nobume, "unforgivable", Nobume said with a vicious look, directly at the manga. Soyo closed the book and chuckled, "did you guys have butterflies in your stomachs? Now you know how I feel" Soyo asked the two very disturbed girls who were red from the embarrassment and shock. Soyo-chan read that kind of thing?? W-who made her like this, oh wait no, it was just HER, Kagura thought, Romance she said? That's..... Nobume paused and thought about what Soyo said, same with Kagura. Falling in love is strange, They both thought.

"I didn't know the both of you were very unfamiliar with the notion, I thought there'd be a little 'doki doki' moment" Soyo said, "'doki doki' moment?" Kagura wondered, I hope I forget what I just saw earlier. "Oh, so you don't really have one, huh. I guess strong, busy girls like you two barely know a few people good enough to fancy" soyo grinned, "but maybe someday... and here I thought you two already have one", hmm Kagura and nobume demented.
"Oh, Nobume-san, I almost forgot. Are you going back to your office?" soyo asked. Kagura and Nobume were about to leave, "I'm not going back yet", "oh, but can you at least have tea with Matsudaira-san? He didn't know you were leaving a year ago" Soyo told her, "well, I'm going home, thanks for the snacks soyo-chan, and Nobume, take your time!" Kagura waved, "See you again, Kagura-chan!", Soyo waved back, nobume stood and thought about it, "I'll visit him then, it's the least I could do" Nobume replied.

Nobume arrived in front of Matsudaira's office. She took a 5 second pause and knocked. "wait for a moment", nobume heard a voice behind the door, but it's not Matsudaira, it's someone else, it's- "Ah! Chief Nobume!", Yamazaki Opened the door, "It's you? Where's Matsudaira-san", "oh, he's here, please, come in". And I thought I was going to meet them tomorrow, Nobume walked in and saw the former Shinsengumi Captain, new captain, and vice captain, drinking with matsudaira. Nobume didn't know if she should sit down, so she just stood in front of them, gazing at them. Even for after 3 years, they still look like assholes.
Hijikata and Kondo's eyes broadened when they saw Nobume. Matsudaira stood up, and was about to hug Nobume, but Nobume dodged him and just patted his back, Nobume also noticed that he reeked alcohol. "Nobume-chan! hic* It's been a year, especially with these scumbags" Matsudaira was rather tipsy, and it looked like he was about to pass out, so Yamazaki carried him before Matsudaira could fall. "Since Matsudaira-san passed out, then I should take my leave", Nobume was about to leave until Hijikata stood up, "wait, why leaving so soon, chief? We didn't know you were back", "Yeah, Nobume-chan, you should stay for a bit and talk a bit, this was a surprise!", "If she doesn't want to, then you don't have to force her to stay" Kondo and Sougo added. Nobume grunted, "I'm glad to see you all too", "So why the rush?" Hijikata asked, "Ha! Since tomorrow is the day, I guess we understand why you don't want to laze, but at least have some tea, or sake, if you want" Kondo invited her.
...
Moments later, they all talked about what they missed for the past few years while Matsudaira is still unconscious. "We investigated a mosun member, did you guys encountered one too?" Hijikata informed, "Us too, but only a soldier", "you really worked with that bastard?" Sougo asked, Here we go again, Nobume thought.
"We didn't find any valuable information about their sources, but what about you guys?" Hijikata asked Nobume, Nobume sat still and gulped her tea, "nothing, just the navigator", she answered. Sougo looked at her for a bit and proceeds to drink his sake. "Princess Soyo will have a date tomorrow, I met the boy, he was very nice, and he's only a year younger than the princess, I hope the date goes well" Kondo said, "ah, how time flies, now the innocent Princess Soyo will have to get married", innocent?
...
A few moments later, Nobume left. Kondo fell asleep while Sougo pondered and was suddenly irked. "Hijikata-san", "what?", "...Chief Nobume is lying", Hijikata looked at Sougo, "...I think so too, my gut is telling me that she's hiding something", Hijikata commented, "her and Bakamui must have found something but she's not ready to admit it yet, that's what my gut is telling me", "but, If she is hiding something, I hope nothing goes badly" Hijikata said, "I don't think so" Sougo added.
-The next Day-
7:00 PM
the door to Gengai's workshop was opened by Aimi and Tsukuyo. Gengai prepared the machine and the gadgets they need. Tama and Tamako were both sitting on a chair in front of a monitor. "Ah~ my heart can't stop beating so fast!" Aimi exclaimed, "Don't get too excited Aimi", "Yo!", Gintoki and the rest of the yorozuya just arrived.
