Our Disguise

"We're back in the past!" Kagura exclaimed silently. Nobume suddenly felt a slight shiver on her spine, "We should call them" Nobume said while taking out her watch, "We can't, Aimi said that the watch has a cooldown of 1 hour before using it" Kagura reminded them. They were all trying to focus on their mission without distraction, while Hajime was confused but decided to think with them.

"Hajime-Kun" Kagura called, "yes?",  "Since at this time, we haven't met you yet--", "You should interact with the yorozuya and try to contact young Kagura with the Altana bits" Nobume continued.

Goal:

Past Kagura and Kamui must have contact with the Altana bits. They have to touch the Altana until it turns orange. If they let go of the Altana after they touch it, the progress of the contact will only pause until they touch it again. The Altana bits Umibozu brought will only target the people who do not have contact with it yet, so before Umibozu and the others left, they all consumed the little extra Altana bits so that they won't affect the altanas they will bring.

"Okay... but shouldn't we wait for the others and discuss the plan?" Hajime suggested, "We don't have time. Umibozu told us to have a plan ready to seal the blood before the mosuns get it. We have about 20 days before we automatically go back home" Nobume replied.

"Wait for a second, where's Sadaharu? Don't tell me... he zapped and went with the others!" Kagura panicked, "Oh, he shrank again and went inside the box and fell unconscious" Hajime pointed at an empty box beside a trash bin, Kagura immediately grabbed the box and picked up unconscious Sadaharu. "I can't blame the dog, the travel was nauseating," Nobume said.

"So here's what we have to do, Hajime you try to ask a job request like this, and then we will look out for you until some of the others will go here. There will be a battle at Yoshiwara soon, so you have to be careful not to spill your true identity" Kagura explained. Keep a secret, "uh", "Let's go!".

Meanwhile at Yoshiwara...

"Look Tsukuyo-san, We haven't met yet in this time!", "don't tell me, this is...."                                                           Aimi and Tsukuyo were on top of a roof. Tsukuyo looked at the view, Yoshiwara, where daylight was not yet exposed, back when Housen dominated. Tsukuyo and Aimi looked at the covers above that prevent Yoshiwara to gain sunlight, Tsukuyo glared at it. "this is some trip that I'm in" Tsukuyo said with a small anxious smile, "Well, let's take a trip down to memory lane, shall we?" Aimi ironically chuckled, "we shall accept this shitfest", "Gin-san, this is..." Gintoki and Shinpachi appeared to be on another roof beside where Tsukuyo and Aimi are.

Tsukuyo and Aimi's eyes widened and they were both in relief. "Gintoki, remember what happened here?" Tsukuyo asked while Gintoki and Shinpachi hopped on to their spot, "of course, this was back when you were cold" Gintoki said. Tsukuyo irked but decided to scoff it off for it is not the time.

"55 minutes before we can contact the others. I hope they're doing fine in the meantime" Aimi smiled. "Get your hoods ready, let's find a place to discuss our plan" Tsukuyo instructed them.

Somewhere in a Province...

"Hijikata-san, where are we again?"
"We're somewhere in Hyogo, 5 years ago," Hijikata said while holding a newspaper.

Sougo and Hijikata were zapped inside a small cabin. Both officers were walking on a road with their hoods up, trying to find a map or transportation, but they saw a familiar bald and red head up on a small hill beside the road they were walking...

"Listen, Kamui, where were you at this time?", "I told you, somewhere in space" Kamui smiled holding his closed umbrella. "We have to find a way to go to space, thoroughly, and we have 55 minutes left before we can contact the others, so come with me", "huh? What? Excuse me? Oh, sorry, bald dad, I have to go somewhere" Kamui told Umibozu, Umibozu sighed tiredly, "Kamui, we're not here to run around with our heads up high, you do know why we're here in the first place right?", " that's why I have to go, I... Have a plan of my own" Kamui taunted.

The two officers overheard the conversation between the father and son. "Good grief, I can't believe we have the same motive here, criminal" Kamui and Umibozu looked at Sougo behind them, "Oho, you too?" Kamui and Sougo looked at each other viciously. "What? Sougo what are you talking about?",

"A year ago, we heard news on earth that they found tubes full of a liquid compound stronger than chloroform on a certain place" Sougo explained,

   Hijikata remembered, "are you seriously going to risk getting those?", "Kamui, you were still here on earth back then, right? And I heard that an acquaintance of yours was behind those compounds" Sougo asked Kamui, smirking. Kamui chuckled a little, amused by Sougo's sharpness. "Very well then, officer, I guess you want to know some of their locations?".

A few moments later, Kamui and Sougo left, leaving Hijikata and Umibozu heading to Edo. Umibozu sighed, "brats these days", "tell me about it" Hijikata replied. "You think they'll pull it off?" Hijikata asked, "I'm sure, they aren't just weak and selfish brats, and they have the altanas, just in case they encounter our targets they'll know".

"Kamui told me that he's somewhere in space at this time and will soon head here on earth" Umibozu informed, "then we have to go to edo prompt," Hijikata said.

Otose's snack shop

"What's your name?"
"Umm... Hajime"
Gintoki was sitting beside Seita. They were talking when suddenly Hajime entered and asked for their help.

"Why do you need our help, Hajime-Kun," Young Shinpachi asked Hajime, "U-uh, I-I'm trying to find someone in Yoshiwara but it's difficult for me to enter there, I have nowhere else to go," Hajime said what Kagura asked him to say.

Kagura, who was holding small Sadaharu, and Nobume were eating rice balls near the snack shop, hiding their identity. "I hope Hajime-Kun's okay," Kagura said, "if we get caught, let's just knock them unconscious and get that kid back," Nobume said, "let's... Not go that far, Nobu...". "We could just kidnap your past self and let the altanas to their thing, however, the problem are the risks" Nobume said, "right, so for now a good plan is better to avoid further conflicts".  

"You're on the same boat as Seita huh, is your family there?" Past Gintoki asked "Do you have a mom there too?" Seita asked, "Is your dad a womanizer-", Young Shinpachi elbowed Kagura. "Yes, they're in Yoshiwara" probably.
"Well, we are heading there soon after Seita-Kun earns the money he needs, you should join us if you want to find the person you're looking for," Young Shinpachi asked Hajime nicely, "really?!" Hajime gleamed.

Stay with them and get close to my younger self, Hajime remembered Kagura's instruction, "can I stay here for the meantime?", " huh? Don't you have a home, you look clean" Young Kagura asked. "W-we got kicked out from our apartment just earlier, that's why I'm looking for this person" Hajime explained, everyone looked at him, feeling a minor wary tension, "okay then, you should work with Seita too if you're willing to stay here for a while" Past Otose told Hajime. "Thank you so much!".
