Gintoki sat as he ate a "Gintoki Special" bowl while sighing tiredly.
-Flashback-
"They want that baldy's blood?" Gintoki asked while raising a brow, Aimi stood up and said: "yes and not particularly, they want Kouka's, Umibozu's wife's bloodline. Umibozu told me everything 2 months ago when he found out I was following the brothers. He seems to trust me, heh, I never thought I'd be working with a legend, but I thought he would look like a smexy lookin' fella.." she smiled. Gintoki was about to ask a question but Aimi postponed him, "Gintoki-san, the reason why all of you are important in this mission is that their goal involves everything they touch if you know what I mean" she chuckled. "I mean we are going to worlds we've never been before, except the past" he responded.
-End Flashback-

"How unexpected" Gintoki murmured after sensing someone behind him. "Ara! Welcome back, it's been a long time, ah, since it's been long I'll cook you up the usual for free." The old lady said to a man besides Gintoki. Gintoki was about to look at the man beside him but-
"Still eating garbage as always"
Gintoki smiled and deadpanned: "Heh, take a look at yourself, are you going to shoot a detective drama show somewhere, sir?" He chewed on his food. Hijikata was a bit irritated, "long time no see too" they smirked. Hijikata's appearance changed a bit, the front of his hair was a bit slicked back, he was wearing a black-greenish coat with his katana, even Gintoki chuckled when he mentioned this earlier. "It's been 3 years already? Man, you guys didn't even need to come back, we protected Edo like a champ. I guess the other policemen too." Gintoki deadpanned as he chewed on his lunch. Hijikata sighed and took out his cigarette and lighter, "hm, you should be thankful you're still not arrested for whatever crime you committed for the past years with us gone- and save the criticism, we had no choice, I hate to admit it but we were weak, look what happened to one of my men", Hijikata said while puffing out smoke. "Weak or not, you still accepted the invitation from the amantos, though", " well, they did owe us, but, thanks for trying to protect this country anyway, I guess" Gintoki gave him the look of amusement after Hijikata said "thanks", "don't even think about it, perm head. Of course, the rest of the Shinsengumi who stayed here did more than you guys, you know what I mean. Since we're back we might as well do a lot starting today" "Whatever you say, demon Shinsengumi chief" Gintoki grinned. "Here you go Hijikata-san" the old lady gave Hijikata his usual "Hijikata special" to him and smiled. "Thanks, ma'am"
"Ah, how nostalgic" the old lady sighed.

"By the way, where did that head chief brat go?", Hijikata asked, "hmm?", "isn't she a friend of your yorozuya girl?", " oh, Nobume. Kagura told me she went out alone to space to investigate something.", Hijikata stopped munching and looked serious. "While we were out of earth, we also did some investigating a year ago", Hijikata told him, Gintoki was carefully listening. "Some of the people from space kept having incidents involving a man name Dero Mosun, before we even started to investigate him, he never came back, we still don't know what he looks like." Hijikata states, "What was he looking for?" Gintoki asked, "We haven't confirmed anything yet but we think he was finding some space dust or something. I think Nobume must've found this already, speaking of which, is she okay? When you said she was alone, do you mean she's by herself?", "well 'alone' does mean by herself, I just heard it from Kagura", Gintoki said, Hijikata sighed and finished his food before Gintoki. "I don't know but, when I was on this planet we were training on, one of that guy's comrades who I don't know came and said 'you're Hijikata' and died the next day", "It hurts in the head doesn't it, Mayora? Don't worry, someone's going to talk to you tomorrow, my guess" Gintoki assumed. "What's that supposed to mean?", "you'll see," Gintoki said as he drank his water. Shinpachi came inside the diner and spotted Hijikata and Gintoki, "ah, Hijikata-san! Long time no see" Shinpachi greeted, "you too" Hijikata responded. Shinpachi sat down on the stool beside Gintoki. "Aneue and Isao-san told me earlier that you guys just arrived yesterday and Isao-san didn't know. You guys also visited them, didn't you? I'm surprised Aneue nor Isao-san didn't tell me" Shinpachi sighed, "Yeah, we did come home in the middle of the night, we just happened to visit them, speaking of which, you don't live there anymore?" Hijikata asked, "Well, Pachi-boy wants to act like a real adult and decided to live with us after his sister got married" Gintoki responded,
When you found out that I started receiving an allowance from Isao-san you begged me to come and live with you Shinpachi thought while giving Gintoki an irritated look. "That's tough".

"Toushi-san!", Hajime entered the diner and gave Hijikata the plastic bag filled with Rice balls, rice cracker, and mayonnaise. Hijikata took the plastic and offered a seat and ordered juice for Hajime. "Your tracking is surprisingly well here on earth," Hijikata told Hajime, "Really? I'm having a hard time getting used to it here" Hajime smiled. Gintoki and Shinpachi looked at each other, confused. Gintoki tapped Hijikata on the shoulder and asked: "is he, your son?", " What? No, he was an orphan from the planet we trained on, we took him in, but he's not my son", "ooo, an amanto? Like our Kagura? I'm surprised to know that you would want to raise a kid" Gintoki said, "it wasn't me", "hm?", "it was sougo, he found Hajime", Shinpachi and Gintoki were more surprised, "I don't know why but I'm kind of worried for the kid" Shinpachi explained while Gintoki agreed. "Speaking of Okita-san, how's everyone?", "well, you know... They're alive",
that's not a lot of detail, though Shinpachi thought.

"Are they your friends, Toushi-san?" Hajime asked after he finished his juice. "It's difficult" he responded while puffing out a cloud of smoke. "Hello, Hajime-Kun, my name's Shinpachi Shimura, and this guy right here is Gintoki Sakata" Shinpachi smiled at him. "Hi" Gintoki gave him a small wave. "Hello! I've heard all of your names before! Can I call you Gin-san and Shin-San? Ah, Gin-san I heard from some of the guys that you're the white demon everyone's afraid of! Are you super duper strong?" Hajime asked while his eyes were enlightened with excitement and curiosity. "There he goes again" Hijikata sighed, "will you listen to that, did you guys miss us so much that you talk about us all the time?" Gintoki grinned, "Don't get your diabetic ass's hopes up" Hijikata deadpanned.

"Did Sougo come with you?" Hijikata asked, "nope, but he did come to pick me up but he met a friend and started fighting with her so I told him that I should go and give these to you. Strange, he seems to be enjoying himself though" Hajime said. "So she met him already, huh" Gintoki smirked and paid the old lady his bill. "Let's go Shinpachi, we have to come back, my show's on", "wait.. when you said that someone's going to talk to us, who is it?" Hijikata asked. "I told you, you'll find out, for now, I want to relax a bit, I'm going to be busy tomorrow" Gintoki replied.
