Chapter 4 Dabria

This Cody kid that was taking me to this Fire class was a very shady looking kid with brunette hair and light brown eyes. He wore a black shirt with black jeans, and he wore a silver necklace with a small emerald hanging from it. It reminds me of something I saw in a fancy jewelry shop once. Cody walks me out of the enormous building that the king was in to this other gigantic building that looked like a school. This building was not as big as the last one, but was still pretty big. "What is your power anyway" I say, kind of curious. Instead of answering my question he says, "I don't think you're the chosen one, and I doubt you do either, so can we just get this over with and prove you are not" he said it kind of nasty and he seemed furious. "I know why I think I am not, but why are you so sure? I could surprise you," I say calmly. "I know you aren't because I am. I have been training my entire life for this and you are just a simple human," he said, kind of yelling. "First ouch and second, thanks for an amazing description of your powers," I say calmly while staring at him. He stops walking and says "What do you mean power description". "Well, instead of telling me about it, you showed me," I say. He still looked confused, so I pointed at his hand. When he was getting mad, his hand started to smoke, then a fire started coming out of it. He looked down and finally noticed what I was talking about, and he shook the fire out of his hand. We walked into a room with a bunch of people in it trying to train their fire powers.

"Just because of that does not mean you are better than me," he retorts. Everyone stared at us. He seriously wanted to start this in front of an entire room of people. Someone started to approach, but I just put my hand up and told them to stop. "I never said I was better than you, you were the one that was just scared I was" I say shrugging. People started to laugh and then one kid said "you're scared of the newbie", I can stand if people laugh but when someone tries to join in it just angers me. "I might be the newbie but your king thinks I am the chosen one that is suppose to lead his team" I say back calmly, I did not want Cody to see I was defending him. The kid looks at me starstruck and then goes back to what he was doing embarrassed. I smiled, looked at Cody and said "so what am I supposed to do, captain" he seemed to like being called captain. "We will start over here" he says smirking and pointing at an empty slot with a dummy in it.

I walk over there, there is some sort of glass like thing surrounding the slot with the dummy in the back middle of it. "What am I supposed to do here?" I ask. He looked and said "just watch" with a smirk. He breaths then holds his arm out pointing towards the dummy and fire shot out of his hand at the dummy, then he pulled his hand away and it stopped, "Now you try," he says, still smirking. I try doing this twice and nothing happens, I look at Cody, and he looks quite happy. He was smiling so big, and then he said "well this is not your power, so let's go to the next", he sounded so nice about it but I knew he was just happy that I did not have his power, and I was one step closer to having none. We go to shape-shifting nothing again, then to wind nothing, then charm speaking nothing again, but one nice guy did call me pretty, which made Cody pretty mad. Not that he cared about the pretty part he just hated that someone complimented me. Next was water as soon as I walked in there I felt something, but I could not tell you what. One of the kids come up to me and helps me figure out how to do it. First try I got nothing, second try I feel something again but nothing happens. Cody wants to leave but I refuse, on the third try I made pipes explode and all I said was "oops".

Everyone stared at me like I was a new jewel in an Ancient Museum. Even the best student in this class said "I can't even do that, I did not even know there were pipes around this place". Without even thinking, I say, "I don't know how you can't feel them they all around the room", everyone stared, I looked at Cody and he looked furious. I looked at the kid next to me and I whispered "does water affect him in any way". "Yeah, it stops him from using his powers for a bit," the kid says. Both of Cody's hands were on fire now and he was not calming down, so I decided to shoot water at his hands. "Who did that?" he yelled, looking around. I raised my hand and said "me", he looked even angrier now but atleast I know he is not going to burn the room down. He looked like he was going to yell at me again, but then the king bursted in and says "so you figured out your power, great job". He looked at Cody weirdly and said "why are you so wet", before he could answer the king said "Oh, nevermind, did you try out every power" he says looking at me now. I look at him and say "no, I was told that there is still talking to animals". "Well then let's go outside and get Leo and try, you come too Cody, and is there anyway you can take the water off him Dabria?" the king says looking at Cody weirdly. "I can try" I say, I slowly move my hands down to pull the water off of him and put it in a bucket, "Thanks" he says sarcastically. "Your welcome," I say shrugging.

Leo was a boy with brown hair and emerald green eyes, he was wearing a red shirt and grey sweatpants. "Leo, can you turn into an animal for me?" the king says smiling. Leo nodded his head and turned into a wolf. "Alright, let's try this out,'' the king says. "Go up to him and tell us what he says" says the king. I walk up to him and crouch down next to him and concentrated. "Hi I am Leo" the wolf says quickly like he wanted to get this over with. "Well what did he say" asks the king eagerly . "He said Hi I am Leo" I say shrugging. "Say something else, something more complicated" says Cody. The wolf did what looked like rolling his eyes than said "I think this is stupid, and I think you should already know she is the chosen but you don't want to admit it Cody because you are too stubborn". "What did he say" asked the king eagerly, "He said I think this is stupid, and I think you should already know she is the chosen one but you don't want to admit it Cody because you are too stubborn" say a little amazed. Leo transformed back and said "that is exactly what I said". The king smiled and said "great".
