I stood completely still as I gazed into the hard obsidian gaze of the wolf below me; some little part of me was trying to convince me to run, but I couldn't. Slowly I stood and dove off the side of the cliff I was on; I flipped twice in the air and landed soundlessly on the ground in front of the large beast, he crotched and playfully pounced on the ground like he was happy to see me.

"Renee?" I whispered to him, he whimpered and covered his face with his paw, looking away as if he was ashamed of something he had done. Oh I knew who it was then; I don't know why but even though I knew he was the king the idea of Morgan being a werewolf for me was impossible.

"Morgan...." He barked happily then bounded up to me and nudged with his head, I fell to the ground with a soft groan.

He was roughly the same size as a horse, with black fur tinged with almost a deep blue color, just one of his paws was the same size as a large dinner plate; I remembered distinctly none of the other wolves I had seen before where quite as big as Morgan was. Though he did have the dark fur covering most of his body I noticed a long angry looking scar stretching from his shoulder to hip, it shocked me to think that anyone would ever try to mar such a beautiful creature. His tail swished back and forth anxiously as he worried at me trying to see if I was okay.

"Morgan calm down I'm fine." I laughed as I entwined my fingers in his fur to pull myself up, he froze up then and slowly his head turned in my direction, his eyes filled with an unreadable expression.

"I'm sorry" I whispered as I took a few steps back away from him, trying my best not show how hurt I was that he was still angry with me.

Very slowly he stood and walked around behind me, I didn't move a muscle because a good portion of the back half of his body was still sitting in front of me. After a moment he settled himself around me like a safety blanket and set his head on my lap.

'Ahhh he was apologizing for being mean'

I sighed to myself as I sunk into the warm fur that surrounded me; it smelled of tree sap, rain and burning wood, it was heavenly. Even though I know I shouldn't have I allowed myself for the first time in a long time to sleep, without worrying about what the morning would bring.

Morgan

She stood completely still as she gazed into my eyes.

'I should leave go, right. Then why do I find myself wanting to stay' she thought

Slowly she stood and dove off the side of the cliff she was on; flipping twice in the air and landed soundlessly on the ground in front of me. I crotched and playfully pounced at the ground l was really excited to see her even if this was a new side to what I preferred to think was the innocent young woman intent doing what she thought was right.

"Renee?" she whispered

I whimpered and covered my face with my paw, looking away as I tried to convey that I was not my brother but the person who had been cruel to her upon our last meeting.

'Oh I knew who it was then; I don't know why but even though I knew he was the king the idea of Morgan being a werewolf for me was impossible.'

"Morgan...."

I barked happily then bounded up to her and nudged her with my head; she fell to the ground with a soft groan. My tail swished back and forth anxiously as circled her trying to see if I had caused any lasting damage.

"Morgan calm down I'm fine." She laughed as she entwined her fingers in my fur to pull herself up, I froze up then and slowly turn my head in her direction.
