The next morning I rolled over in my bed to find I was being watched by Camilia and a group of her friends, most of whom were wearing newly made dresses.

“To what” I sighed sleepily as I slide out of my bed to sit in a heap on my floor. “Do I owe the pleasure of having you lovely ladies greet me this morning.”

“Cousin?” Started Cami

“Yes Cousin….”

“You wouldn’t by chance like to officially invite us to breakfast dear.”

“You are officially invited Cami, just do something for me please.” I mumbled as I dragged myself across the room to my dressing table and began to brush my hair.

“What is it B?”

“Bring me my Saturday clothes    please, there in the closet on the top shelf and the jacket is hanging underneath it.”

Camilia sashayed across the room and open the closet door only to stand there silently for a moment before turning to glare at me and say:

“B you can wear this to breakfast to meet the king.”

“Breakfast is being served in my home Cami. If the king wanted to see a woman in a dress I’m sure he’ll see more than enough of that from these others that you have brought.” I snapped angrily at her as I snatched the clothing from her hands and made a beeline for my bathroom.

“What’s gotten into her?” Cried Camilia as she dropped into a seat next to the door

“She had a nightmare last night, she was just tossing and turning when I came in with the clean sheets this morning and she was whimpering like something terrible had happened.” Said Lola as she tugged the sheets off of my bed and put fresh ones back on.

“That doesn’t sound like a nightmare but a nights care, she used to have them all the time when we were children. I remember she had one the day before Mistress Everheart broke her hip on a robbery attempt.”

“Before my time girl.”
