I can feel my every atom in my body bursting as I "released the beast"; clichéd but true; I gave full control over to Altair and our inner darkness, immersing ourselves completely until we were one. I only hoped in by giving myself over to it I would later be able to find my humanity again.
'What of Lady Brigham?' Growled Altair as we collided with the grey wolf and rolled it over on its back exposing his throat, before sinking my teeth into him. The metallic taste of blood filled my mouth and cause me to gag as I took apart of the wolfs throat with me when I pulled away, the bloodbath had only just begun and the overwhelming thirst burning at the back of my throat seemed to be unquenchable.
She was behind me being circled by several of the same wild, slathering excuses for wolves, seeing her like that outnumbered and with just the smallest wisps of fear rolling off her body made me snap. I was everywhere at once sinking my teeth into throats, legs, bellies tails and anything else I could take a bite out of. Before I knew it I was standing in front of her, my chest heaving and my fur caked in blood, leaving a trail of destruction in my wake.

Morgan turned to plant himself firmly in front of Brigham pulling back his lips to bare his long white fangs at the remaining wolves and the men joining them.
"You can't protect me from them all, you'll get yourself killed. Even though I don't look it I can handle myself and use this scythe." Brigham hissed as she twirled the scythe dangerously scaring away many a wary wolf.
Morgan whipped his head around only long enough to shot her a look that read 'I can try' then turned back to a large mud colored wolf that was pacing back and forth while growling softly. As soon as he lunged towards the other wolf the men fell on B. She swung the scythe slicing through sinew and bone, severing heads from bodies, but no matter how many she put down two more sprang up until she was surrounded on all sides. Eyes hardened with anger leering as the got closer and closer, one of them jabbed the wicked pointed blade of his long sword at her side, leaving behind a long angry looking gash. It was almost an instant queue for every one of them to start hacking and chopping like madmen bent on tearing her into little pieces, for every few blade she knocked away another met its mark until the pain became too great for her. She let out a strangled scream as she tried and failed to deflect a throwing knife aimed toward her left shoulder. The tortured cry snapped Morgan out of his rage filled haze long enough to notice the severely injured B and the man about deal a killing blow with the gleaming battle axe to the back of her neck. He let out an anguished howl as he jumped over the body of the long dead brown wolf and speed towards B, he was so fixated on her that he didn't see the brute running towards him with a sword until it as too late and it was up to the hilt in his chest. He emitted a small gurgling noise as he feel over the last thing he heard before he fell unconscious was a bloodcurdling scream.

No this could not be he wasn't dead that huge lifeless corpse of the once dangerous werewolf king Morgan had not taken its last breath as it collapsed to the ground. In the background I could hear this terrible screeching sound getting steadily loud and higher in volume, looking around I can hear the noise but I can't hear where it's coming from. Then I realize it's me and immediately close my mouth and tense, where did they all go? All around my feet are all that remains of the crazed men bent on getting rid of me, eyes staring wide open, partially congealed blood pouring from their ears and nose. I had done this; they had killed Morgan so I had killed them. Slowly I began to pick my way over the bodies until I'm standing over him, with an anguished cry I try myself on top of him and sob into his fur. I don't notice that reinforcements until they are almost upon us, I whip my head around and at the, my eyes freezing them in their place.
"Wwwe can do this the hard way or the easy way girl." Stuttered on of the braver of the men
"You already made the choice for yourselves." I growl as I struck the end of my scythe twice on the ground, the second time it transformed into a bow.
Slowly I pulled a strand of my hair out and watched it stiffen, become a makeshift arrow and set it to the bow string. Many of the men wore skeptical looks on their faces but only one seemed to understand what was going on.
"Elemental" He whispered, which quickly silenced the others all of seeming to realize at the same time what that word meant.
Slowly I took careful aim into the sky and released the arrow watching as it split a hundred times over as they plunged back down to earth into the waiting crowd of men. The bolting every which way, crying out as an arrow would shot pass them and imbed itself into the earth at their feet, eventually they realized that no one was being struck down and stopped running.
"Elemental or not you can't use that bow to save your life girl." One of them growled
Smirking to myself I pointed up at the sky with the bow; which had changed back into a scythe, at the violent looking dark clouds in the air then flicked the scythe down again. Almost as if it knew what I wanted a huge lightning bolt shot out of the sky, refracted of the end of my scythe and split at as it hit the arrows and incinerated the group of men standing in front of me, the dead bodies and the house. All it left was ashes the concrete base of the house and Morgan's body, slowly people in various degrees of disarray began to pour from a metal door centered in the base. I had done it but at what cost, I let at a sad cry and one last final breathy sigh before I collapse over Morgan, content in dying with him so close to me. It was only right a life for a life, his for mine as I poured what little energy I had left in me into him, healing his wounds and filling his veins with new blood. The last thing I remember is hearing the soft thump of his heart and the sound of air entering his lungs as I drifted into oblivion.
