I didn’t know how long I just stood there subconsciously listening to what they had said about me before I turned away to look at myself in the mirror and really try to remember the things I had seen last night. A man with this beautiful pair of deep amethyst eyes and dark hair holding a little girl with similar coloring sitting in a cave or an underground chamber along with a number of other people. After that it’s like encountering a brick wall and no matter what I did I could get past it to grasp those precious memories that I needed so much. I dressed quickly in a white button down shirt, black cargo pants and suspenders after that I only paused in my room long of to grab a pair of shoes and shout over my shoulder as I was leaving:

“Hurry up ladies; we don’t want to keep the king waiting now do we?”

Surprisingly enough I slept quite well last night considering all that had occurred the morning before. But still was something that bothered me about her; Lady Brigham, she was unlike any Elemental Sorceress I had ever come across in all my years. She was the very last Elemental on my list but the only one to have actually given me the time of day, then she accepted task without in hesitation what so ever. That trait in a woman was almost unheard of in itself, but she was barely past the age of still being in school and this awareness made her all the more interesting to me. She was unreadable unlike the others that lived in this household, nothing she did went with the normal code that most high ranking official went by let alone how high her morals seemed to be. To my left a young maid probably 16 or so with a light flush gradually beginning to creep into cheeks asks:

“May I offer you a cream horn your highness?” contrary to the words that came spilling out of her words it was the ones floating around in her head that interested me the most. ‘Oh he’s every bit as handsome as Lauren said he would be, I should have done something with my hair. Is he going to marry Lady Brigham, they would make a real power couple?’

“Yes thank you miss and may I say your hair is quite beautiful”. I reply coolly

She blushes an even redder then turned away to finish her circuit of the table. Behind her Lady Brigham a group of other young ladies enter the dining room, she stop long enough to acknowledge me with a brief head nod then curtsy as she slid into the seat across from me. She was a very unconventional beauty with long dark chocolate hair the she wore braided over one shoulder with bangs that hid a good portion of her face, her very skin seemed to glow as if she a showered in sunbeams this morning. Her eyes were also a warm brown that seemed to invite you in the irises seemed to darken the closer you came to the pupils, her mouth it completely stole my attention all that I had wanted to say flew out of my head as I watched her mouth. Then I noticed her face over all it was what I was expecting, she looked like she was thinking intensely about something that bothered her terribly.

“Lady Brigham I would bid you good morning but you don’t seem as if you are having a very good morning at all.” I say

“Yes your highness it would no doubt be a very good morning if the night had been better.” She whispered as she clutched either side of her head and stared down at her plate.

“I hope that we did not keep you up.”

“No, just nightmares that seemed to more real than any I had before” when she said this Lord Hawk looked up from his food and watched his daughter more closely than before.

“Brigham dearest your dreams have never been something to take lightly, tell us what you have seen so that we may prepare are selves for what is to come.” Said Lord Hawk

“I was in a house of some sort fairly large considering the size of the room I was in, it was filled with people all young just out of school. The windows were blacked out and they seemed unhealthily skinny, they all seemed to huddle around a dark haired man and a little girl both with….”

“Go on.” I whisper

“Purple eyes, they had purple eyes….and that is all I remember.”

I sat perfectly still with my head resting in my hands and concentrated on the words she had just said, they were alive sickly but alive. I had to find them before they got any worse I couldn’t just sit by and wait for clues to turn up; if I did Tristan & Trisha would be dead.

“We will leave for the Cloud Palace as soon as you have finished your breakfast Lady Brigham.” I say as I rise from my seat to leave, behind me I can sense my attendants, they were frightened.
