chp 9: Dil's first christmas flashback

Hey guys sorry I didn't update yesterday I had to babysit my sister and had to make my math poster. I didn't have time after my poster because my mom was yelling at me to do my stupid chores. Well I'm back and this chapter hopefully interests you. This chapter takes place in Phils dream remembering the christmas if you are wondering how it makes sense.

Phil (POV)

It was Christmas eve and today we were expecting to go out to dinner, see our family, open 2 Christmas presents each and make Dil's first Christmas eve and Christmas really special. It was 6 in the morning and I thought about making some Christmas shaped pancakes to start off Christmas Eve. Strangely enough when I started making pancakes I heard Dil's baby monitor telling me he was awake. I went to his room to find my son in his Rudolph pajamas smiling at me with those beautiful eyes of his.

"Hey buddy want help daddy make some pancakes"

"Yes Dada" he said with a cheery smile and and some messy bed hair.

We went to the kitchen and I asked him what shapes we should make the pancakes be.

"Christmas tree, snowman, Mickey"

"Mickey?.....Mickey aint Christmasy but Ok whatever you like Dil"

I then made 5 Mickey pancakes, 7 christmas tree pancakes and 2 ugly snowman pancakes who looked more like dilapidated snowballs stacked on top of each other. I also make 4 snowflake pancakes also, I don't know how I made them but they came out pretty well.

I then gave Dil his Mickey pancakes with blueberry eyes and mouth with a blackberry nose and some ears with banana slices inside of it.

I walked over to Me and Dans room so I could wake up my sleepyhead husband.

"Time to wake up honey" He then groaned and threw a pillow at me. "I made pancakes but I guess you don't want an-" He then put his hand over my mouth and said.

" Good morning did someone say pancakes"

I giggled at how fast he woke up and became instantly happy and wide awake. "put a shirt on first then you can have pancakes ok" I said not wanting him to catch a cold

"Ugh fine"

Dan then walked over to the kitchen were I had laid out Chritmas shaped pancakes. I then saw Dil had finished his first pancake

"Dil do you another pancake"

"Yes dada.....Daddy awake already dada" He said with surprise knowing Dan is never wake at 7 in the morning.

"Yes daddy is awake surprising right" I said with my own surprise even though I had woke him up.

I then gave Dil another pancake and gave Dan the ugly dilapidated snowmen pancakes.

"Why are they so ugly.....but their pancakes so any pancake is a good pancake in my opinion" he said eating them faster than I could see.

I then ate my pancakes with some coffee and some syrup. In total I ate like 4-5, Dil ate 4 and dan ate like 6. In total we ate 16 out of the 18 pancakes I made. I'm still surprise Dil can eat so many pancakes but can barely finish a small bowl of oatmeal. My son is just weird I guess.

After breakfast I told Dan to play with Dil while I wrap the rest of the christmas presents. Once wrapping for half an hour I finally put all the presents around the tree and told a picture of it to post on Instagram titled our tree probably has way more presents than most tree's.

I then turned on some christmas specials for three hours to make time pass faster because once the clock hit 2 we had to get ready for our parents coming over and then going out to dinner and then back to open a few presents.

" time to get ready for when our parents/grandma and grandpa come all of you even though there are only 2 of you" I said trying to sound as serious as I can.

We then spent 1 hour in total getting ourselves all ready and then I said "why not I make you guys a snack seeing they won't be here for another hour." I brough out some hummus and some mini pita's with some veggies on side to put inside their pita's.

we all wolfed down our snack and then watched The Grinch until our parents got to our apartment.

When they both our parents got their we notice their was only my dad and Dan's mom.

Where is mom dad and Mrs. Howell where's your husband"

They then expained how one of each was going to each Christmas event for their child. Which meant my mom was at my brothers house and Dan's dad was at his sister's house.

We then let them in and talked about what has been happening, what new and what we are doing for Dil's birthday. After that we went out to this fancy restaurant and one of the London hotels and ate there whilst taking some family photos both at the apartment and at the restaurant. The Dinner was really nice and lot's of fun and once it was over we then went back home so Dil can open 2v presents and the to our surprise both our one parent who decide to stay over came in with each 10 presents each. After that we took video's of Dil opening his presents on christmas eve and then we took a few more photos.

We then talked, laugh, and ate some desert for hours and then both of our one parent left. we then put Dil in his Rudolph pajamas and tuck him into bed

We all woke up really early at 6:30 and ran to the tree even Dil ran as I put him down so he could run to open his presents. Our smart boy can both walk and somewhat talk. We then open our presents, ripping the wrapping paper off and smiles so much. We took so many photo's it wasn't even funny how many we took.

Dil had got like around 50-100 toy cars, teddy bears, child friendly action figures, some crayola things and some clothes.

I had got a new macbook pro retina, some clothes also, action figures, video games, and some movies.

Lastly my husband Dan got also a new macbook pro retina, clothes, video games, and some movies.

Oh yah our parents each bought us a new car so we could take Dil around. Both me and Dan were surprised to each het a new car but we can't complain because of how awesome they are.

After that I made some waffles, hot chocolate and a fruit smoothie just se we can have something healthy.

The rest of the day we each played with our new things, try on our clothes and just relaxed all together as one very nerdy family. I couldn't be happier to have my family.

Finally we all went to bed and kissed our son goodnight.

"Dan this has been the best christmas ever because I have you and Dil. We have been blessed to have a beautiful, healthy son who loves us as much as we love him. I wouldn't want to imagine a day without you guys in my life. Thank you guys so much for being in my life" Dan then kissed my lips and and said something also.

"I feel the same way I will never stop thinking about you guys and seeing you guys in my dreams"

We then fell asleep in each others arms and snuggled up with a smile on each others face.
