Scott hadn't visited anyone from 3rdlife since the servers end a few months back. He had yet to see them again. Obviously Joel and Jimmy had also been sent to empires, but they didn't remember much. Only the wars and death and pain. No happiness had walked with them down their paths from trauma.
Scott had been fortunate enough to retain everything.
So, he was nervous. He hadn't imagined going back to a place that still held the destruction of war, the grief and loss before their deaths.

Jimmy wished he could tell Scott he knew, he remembered, he loved. But he couldn't, not until the reunion when there was no chance he was going to be rejected by a thriving Kind he had the honour to watch rebuild himself from the ash and dust.

Sometimes healing requires facing something that ripped your morale and esteem and burnt it with the rest of your world, picturing life as a puppets game with nothing to prove. But revisiting faces you could trace blindfolded, or had a hatred for that wasn't really necessary can paint a new picture. Lead to a life many would believe is overdramatic even for optimists.
Yet fate had already decided your wounds and your remedies. Sometimes it can be cruel and sometimes it shows you things that trigger traumas and emotions that lead to new beginnings and happy endings.
Scott and Jimmy reunited with each other; Grian and Scar. Reconciled with Ren, Martyn and the rest of the red army. Looked back on memories that fell with their fading bodies at the crastle.
So maybe familiar faces are a medicine worth more than it seems.
