I don't own any of the Twilight characters or events

I watch as Malik tosses and turns in the bed, a snore leaving his lips.

"Natalie."

My head turns as my mom's voice floats to my ears.

"Do you need me to come with you?" Malik questions, half sleep, an arm covering his face.

"Sleep. Come when you're ready."

He grunts and turns over.

I blur to him, kissing his forehead before following the quick heartbeats of both my mom's.

I open the door to the library. Alex automatically motions me over towards her and the table.

I lean against Chey, her arm wraps around my waist, keeping me against her.

"What's this?"

"It's a ledger." Alex says, flipping the pages of the old book.

"Of what exactly?"

"Names from the vampire war. Something wasn't adding up from his memories. Leticia found it for me." Alex says, glancing up at the lounging priest.

"Did she climb the bookshelf and get it?"

"She damn near knocked it over getting it." Alex says, chuckling.

I glance at Leticia, she winks and nods towards the table.

"Not surprised. What's it say?"

"It was a war. All these bodies were found, and their names were written down. Something isn't adding up." She says, frowning.

The door to the library opens as the rest of the coven and pack walks in, a warm arm wrap around my waist, and a head lays on top of Chey's.

"So what's the problem?" Malia questions, leaning against a bookshelf.

"If you knock it down, you're cleaning it up." Leticia says, narrowing her eyes as the shelf shakes under her weight.

Malia rolls her eyes and sits in a nearby chair.

"If there were thousands of vampires in this war, why are there only three names on this ledger?" Alex questions, frowning.

Three names?

"What do you mean?"

Alex turns to a page and slides the book towards me.

I look over the pages, my eyes going wide.

"Where are the others?" Malik questions, looking over my shoulder.

"What names are there?" Chey wonders, attempting to look over my shoulder.

"Calvin, Ambrogio, and Creed."

Alec grunts but doesn't say anything.

"They're not dead." Hades says, appearing out of a dark corner.

"What do you mean?" Alex questions, tilting her head.

"They're not dead. The majority of them walked away from the war. Those 3 were the targets. Targets were killed." Hades says, leaning down to kiss his wife's forehead.

My ears twitch at the sound of a portal being opened.

Glancing over my shoulder, I watch as an olive toned, muscular man steps out the opening.

Hair an orange and yellow color, mimicking the sun. Smile, lazy. Eyes a sharp orange color.

He meets my eyes and nods before looking Hades up and down.
