A deep chuckle vibrates off Malia's skin, causing her to huff.
Chill bumps cover Malik's arms, and the hair stands on the back of my neck.
"Whatever she's doing, it's not safe." Malik grunts, rubbing his arms.
Hades watches his breath float in front of him.
"You were there, weren't you?" Malia wonders, a growl bubbling in her chest.
A deep hum sends a chill down Ceb's spine.
"I'm chaos. I'm everywhere." Chaos says, floating in the dark corners of his cell.
My hackles raise at the sensation Malia is feeling.
"Can you feel her?" My dad wonders, watching Malik and I.
"We can. She's in a dark corner of the Underworld. Specifically in that direction."
I point towards a far corner of the library, swallowing hard.
"I don't understand. How can you feel her?" Christian wonders, staring into the dark corner.
Malik and I glance at each other before looking at Devon, Mia, and Kira.
"It's the sire bond." Devon says, rubbing Arron's curly hair.
"While you may feel goose bumps and your hackles raise, we feel our sire bond breaking and then getting stronger." Mia quietly says, rubbing the back of Apollo's neck.
"It's a weird feeling. Wherever she is, she's not scared, but her wolf is on high alert." Kira says, arms crossed across her chest.
"She's with Chaos."
Everybody looks at me, eyes wide.
"What makes you think she's with Chaos?" Kayla wonders, eyebrows slightly lowered.
"In the ledger, Alfred Weinhouser met Chaos. He described him as cold, indifferent, and calculating."
"Oh yea, your grandfather did meet Chaos." Elijah says, rubbing his chin.
"Our grandfather met the oldest God living?" Damon questions, eyebrows high.
Elijah hums, nodding his chin.
"Alfred was the oldest living hunter. That title has been replaced by your dad. Alfred's memory was iffy, but he never forgot Chaos." Christian says, staring at the floor.
Lost in his memory.
"So grandpa knew Chaos, why not kill him when he had the chance?" Damon wonders, rubbing Aaliyah's thigh.
"Can't kill something you can't necessarily see." Tash says, leaning back against Elijah.
"Why were you on Olympus when I first came back?" Malia questions the chaotic God.
Chaos hums and floats around his visitors before gliding to the ground, taking the form of Kelephona.
"I felt a disturbance in the force." Chaos simply says, fighting a smile.
Malia groans and drops her head, sighing.
"Star Wars, really?" She says, rolling her eyes.
"I like Darth Vader." Chaos says, shrugging.
"Answer the question, Chaos." Hades says, redirecting the conversation.
"When I caught wind of Cassandra's return to Olympus, all the Gods were talking, creating a mild panic. I had to see you for myself." He says, floating around.
"Just your aura alone, screamed your Mischief Titan was itching to cause trouble. To cause chaos, and I love chaos." He says, chuckling.
"Back in the day, Chaos didn't look like Kelephona. He looked like a man. Tall, tan, strong." Elijah says, frowning.
